I used to believe in fairytale so when I was a kid. Magic fairies, dwarfs, mythical creatures, all that crazy stuff. But as I grew older, my faith in those things vanished. Growing up made me realize that there was no such thing as monsters under your bed, the people that you face everyday in your life are actually those monsters.

But imagine this

Waking up feeling sore yet at home inside a werewolf's house like its normal. Actually, it is normal for me now. I've been inside this house for a short time but I already got used to it.

I opened my eyes and realized that I was back inside my room. I looked around and everything that happened yesterday came crashing back.

The heat

The pain

I shuddered when I thought about how much pain I felt yesterday. It was the most painful thing that I have ever experience in my entire life.

Why did I feel that?

What was that?

I've never experienced anything like it. The pain that I felt was almost unbearable, it made me just want to take a gun and shoot myself just to stop the pain. I pushed myself up on a sitting position and groaned loudly. It's like every bone in my body got hit by a truck, my whole body felt sore.

I heard the bedroom door open. I looked up and saw Cole, Lily and Emma walk in. "How are you feeling?" Lily asked softly, sitting on the side of my bed. "Like I fell off a building" I muttered with groan "My entire body hurts" I added, looking at them with a tired look. "Well, the good thing is you're alive. That's what matters" Lily said trying to brighten up my mood. I felt a small smile form on my face "I guess so" I looked at Cole who was watching me carefully with narrowed eyes.

Why was he looking at me like that?

"Why did I experience that though? That was the first time that I experienced that" I asked, returning my gaze to Lily who looked nervous. "Well that's actually still a mystery" Lily said carefully "Yeah, a mystery that we've already solved" Cole snorted making Lily glare at him "We think you experienced heat" I looked at her with unblinking eyes.

Heat

The pain that unmated she wolves experience every full moon

"But-" I paused trying to register everything in my mind "-how is that possible? You said last night that only unmated sh-"

"Aunt Eve" Cole said making me stop

I looked at Cole, trying to think of things that could prove that it was actually Aunt Eve's fault

"It's not going to hurt, right?" She shakes her head "Ofcourse not, it's just like drinking water" I released a loud sigh and quickly gulped down the liquid before I changed my mind.

I felt the hot liquid go down my throat

And she was right, it tasted like.....

nothing

It tasted like water, warm water

"Not until full moon" She said with the smirk still on her face

"Not until full moon..." I whispered to myself. Everyone looked at me with suspicion "What?" Emma asked, making me look at them with realization "Not until full moon. That's what she told me when I asked her if drinking the thing that she made me drink was going to hurt" I said fast with wide eyes. It was Aunt Eve fault why I experienced the pain that I experienced last night.

But I wasn't mad

I agreed to this plan which means it's also my fault why I felt that kind of pain

I looked at Lily who buried her face in her hands "God, I'm so sorry, Alex" Lily said, looking up at me with a stressed and guilty look on her face "That woman always has tricks up her sleeves. I swear to God we didn't know that heat was included in t- Oh God, I'm so sorry" She said making me chuckle a little. "I'm not mad, Lily" I said sincerely with a smile "I agreed to this which means anything that happens to me in the future because of that drink is my doing, not yours" She looked at me with a desperate look on her face "You sure you're not mad?" I nod and held her hand tightly, giving it a reassuring squeeze "One hundred percent" I said earning a smile from her

"Well, if you're done with your drama fest I would like to announce that our plan is so far, a success" Cole said with a bored look on his face. I looked at him excitedly "Really? Why do you think so?" He grins and shakes his head "This morning, I heard a few fan girls of Grey talking in the kitchen about you guys. Apparently, Grey walked inside the pack house carrying you bridal style" He winked making me blush

But I felt a little jealousy bubble inside me. Fan girls. I mean, I'm not even that shocked, Grey's a really good looking guy with an amazing body. What's not to like?

But the thought of someone having feelings for Grey just...makes me want to tell her to back off and tell her that Grey belongs to someone else

But that someone else will never be me

I felt my mood go down because of the realization of Grey never being mine

Wait

Why do I even want to have him?

He kidnapped me and is planning to kill me in front of hundreds of people

I shouldn't feel like this. I shouldn't feel this way about him. This is wrong.

"Alex?" I looked at Emma who was snapping her fingers in front of my face "Huh?" I asked confused "Sorry, I just-I was just thinking of something. Sorry"

"We were asking if you wanted to come down with us. The pups are in the backyard playing soccer, would you like to come and watch?" I looked at Cole "Am I allowed to? Grey might get mad" Cole shook his head "He said to allow you to go around the house since you're dying in a few days-" Emma smacked him on the head making Cole yelp "-but we're not going to let that happen! I wasn't even finished!" I felt the color drain out of my face. "Just stay out of his room, that's off limits"

"But he said to come to his room every six in the morning to-"

"He said to not come anymore. He literally doesn't want to see you anymore"

Stay out of his room. Got it

"This is going to be harder that we thought but we shouldn't give up okay?" Emma said, squeezing my hand tightly. I nod and gave them a weak smile

My chance of getting out of here alive was running thin, quickly

"Let's go watch some pups play soccer to loosen up a bit, shall we?" Lily asked, holding out a hand for me to take. I looked at her and forced a smile

"We shall"
