Somehow, Klaus being back in his body had just made him all the more annoying.

Instead of rushing out to cause chaos around town, he had chosen to hang around the apartment, purposely annoying the two girls.

Mary couldn't help but roll her eyes as she continued flipping through her magazine, he had always been a petty little bastard.

"Always and forever dear sister. Wasn't that our vow?" He questioned as he moved to stand behind Mary's chair, his smug eyes glued to Katherine who was compelled not to move from the couch.

Clearly, trying to remind her that when push came to shove, Mary would always drift back to her family.

Katherine flinched at the mention of the vow, proving that his taunting and mocking were getting to her.

Always and Forever.

That vow had haunted her for centuries, the constant worry that one day Mary would go back to her family.

As he placed his hands on her shoulder, Mary groaned and whacked his hands away with her magazine "Oh, shove it up your arse, Nik."

Klaus chuckled as he kissed the top of her head before moving over to the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of bourbon from Alaric's collection "There is my cranky little sister. How long has it been?" Immediately, she tensed up at the sly smirk on his face "Oh right, you ran for the hills in 1914."

If Mary ever got her hand on another dagger, she would without hesitation finish the plan she and Kol had formed all those decades ago. A few centuries in the box would probably make Niklaus easier for her to converse with.

"You boxed away the brother I actually like."

Klaus rolled his eyes at her pointed glare before handing her a glass of red wine "It's all in the past dear sister. Welcome back into the fold."

Despite hating his guts and not wanting to give him the satisfaction, Mary was in desperate need of a drink so took the glass "I hate you."

Snickering in amusement, Klaus downed his drink in one gulp before turning his focus back to the tense vampire on the couch "Katerina leaves us."

Even if she didn't want to, Katherine had no choice. She stood from her seat and disappeared into the bedroom.

Leaving Mary and Klaus alone for the first time in decades.

"Mari."

Mary groaned loudly as she glanced back up from her magazine to face her cold and cruel adopted brother.
As she glared up at him she couldn't stop the searing hatred she had for him from crossing her features "Don't call me that." She hissed before focusing back down on the article she was reading.

The soon-to-be hybrid couldn't help but roll his eyes at his sister's antics. Stepping forward, he snatched the magazine from her hands "Quit pouting, little sister."

Letting out a sigh, Mary leaned back in her seat and took a long sip of her wine, wishing more than anything that she had killed him when they were children "What, Nik?"

"Now, pet, I wouldn't so hostile towards me if I were you."

Mary simply rolled her eyes, causing the ever-short-tempered man to glare at her angrily before he grabbed her and pinned her against the wall by her throat "Do not disrespect me. I could have ripped out your heart the moment we reunited in St Louis. I think you're in need of a nap."

Mary clenched her jaw at the mention of her amulet, he waved that around in her face like he did with their other siblings when it came to the daggers.

"You could have tried." She growled back before raising her hand sending him skidding backward "We both know that you don't have the power to kill me."

Klaus grinned "Yet." He corrected before smirking as he pulled Mary's green amulet from his pocket "But I do have this."

Mary's eyes widened in horror as her hands quickly rubbed her now bare neck "How did you—"

"You really should be careful where you store the only thing that can resurrect you."

"Fick dich" She hissed in German causing him to chuckle in amusement.
