2 months...

3 weeks...

6 days...

That was how long Buffy had till her due date and it was safe to say she was panicking.

In less than three months she would be going into a very possibly fatal labor and if she did manage to survive, she would officially be a mom.

Which was somehow more terrifying than the prospect of dying in labor.

She was going to be a mother.

How was she supposed to be a mom?

She barely knew who she was at the moment!

Before she could start letting her insecurities get the better of her, she felt Bonnie rub her shoulder supportively, Buffy smiled weakly only to let out a small groan of protest as Rebekah walked out of the kitchen and over to the pair of them, handing over her daily green smoothie-potion abomination.

Rebekah smiled reassuringly "I added some vanilla to it, it should make it easier to get down."

Buffy grumbled distastefully, but given the way everyone was now glaring at her, making it clear she had no choice, she begrudgingly raised the thick smoothie to her lips, trying not to let the stench get to her.

"Have we secured sacred ground?"
Elijah's voice piped up from the phone positioned directly in the middle of the room.

Buffy, Klaus, Bonnie, and Rebekah, all the people who would directly be there to help with the delivery of this miracle child minus Elijah, had taken up residence in the Mikaelson library for this meeting. With the birth fast approaching they needed to ensure they were all prepared, this pregnancy was too high risk to let even one thing go wrong.

Now that Rebekah was awake, it had been decided that she would deliver the baby, while Bonnie focused on ensuring Buffy didn't start to desiccate and her demonic side didn't go into a catatonic state by monitoring the baby's magic, ensuring that the potion they had prepped for the delivery remained strong.

Plus, it meant she would be able to hold Buffy's hand through the hell that would be this labor.

Elijah and Klaus were to play bodyguards from any New Orleans witches or any witches looking to make a good impression on the spirits.

With their mother on The Other side whispering in other people's ears, they couldn't take any risks that she may try and resurrect herself again just to ensure this baby was not born. She would kill the baby and then kill Buffy to ensure she and Klaus never had the chance to try for another child.

Though, Buffy had burst out laughing when Elijah had suggested the idea of her ever having another kid, especially with Klaus.

No way in hell was that happening.

Bonnie squeezed Buffy's hand once more before grabbing the large grimoire Mary had sent her prior to going into her ancestral spy trance. A grimoire she and Willow had promptly defaced with all of their notes. The grimoire had been magically jumping between the two witches for months, both of them adding sticky notes and ideas of how to ensure Buffy's safety during the birth.

Pulling out the map she, Willow, and Tara had been working with, Bonnie placed it on the table for everyone to see before focusing on the phone, knowing that Elijah would be listening to every word intently "Most sacred ground is in Europe." She admitted with a sigh before pointing to a spot on the map "I spoke to this sorcerer I met a while back, and he was able to point me in the right direction."

While she didn't speak to Dragomir often following returning to Mystic Falls after Buffy had died, he was still an amazing warlock and sorcerer, who had told her to call if she ever needed help.

He had been more than willing to help search for some sacred ground, given how rare it was now, especially in America.

"There is a mountain in Illinois, witches like Willow use it as an altar to connect with nature. So it's untouched by ancestral witches and the earth there is pure. It should work. Willow is heading up there next month to secure it with everything we will need."

Staring down at the map, Buffy couldn't help but pout as she leaned into Rebekah's side who had taken the seat beside her.

Her child was going to be born in Illinois.
