Nishant cursed hard and rushed after Aparna followed by the others. As all of them entered the house through the open window, they heard a gunshot shattering the silence of the night.

Aparna stood where she was transfixed as her mind only registered the sound of the shot. Not caring anymore, she shouted Prakriti's name at the top of her voice. And, the moment she did that, she was grabbed by some men holding guns. They dragged her through a flight of stairs to one of the rooms in the second floor and pushed her inside.

As she tumbled to the ground, she saw Madhu and Prakriti tied on one side. They struggled hard to get free the moment they saw her but failed. She got up and tried to reach them but Kavin caught her and dragged her towards one corner.

"This time, I am not letting you go. You are coming with me. You and your daughter will fetch me a lot of money."

"She is your daughter too, please let her go," Aparna pleaded with him.

"I need money and I'll get that if I sell her. And, you are an added advantage."

He dragged her by her hair and tied her to one of the posts. Then, he untied Prakriti and gave her to one of his men.

"Take her and get her ready."

"Please let her go. I'll give you as much money you want. But, please let her go," Aparna kept pleading with him.

Her mind became paralysed with fear as she saw her daughter kicking and shoving against the man holding her. However, he did not relent and started taking her to the other room. But, the moment he placed one foot out, he stopped.

Nishant placed his hand on his chest and made him retrace his steps inside. As he entered the room, he glanced at Aparna and then at Madhu. And, then he flicked his gaze on Kavin, who was standing near Aparna.

"Give her to me," he said to the man holding Prakriti.

Within a split second, the room erupted with gunshots as Kavin's men shoved Prakriti from one to another. As one of them was about to run outside with her, Siraj, Avinash, and Keshav entered the room.

Nishant smiled slyly and moved towards the man holding Prakriti. Gritting his teeth, he forcibly took his arm off her and then wrapped her in his arms.

"Shhhhh! Princess. It's over, I am here," he said to Prakriti as she clutched him and sobbed hard.

Surrounded by Nishant's security men, Kavin was completely outnumbered. One by one they untied Madhu and Aparna.

Handing Prakriti to Aparna, he grabbed Kavin by his neck and shoved him towards the wall. Then, he put his arm against his throat and pushed hard choking him badly. As Kavin's breathing came out in short bursts, Nishant looked at him with steely eyes.

"Did you really think I'll let you hurt them again?" he asked menacingly.

When Kavin did not answer, he pressed his arm more into his throat cranking it further into the wall, blocking his breathing completely.

Nishant's mind kept on playing the words Kavin had said in the video clip and the more it echoed, the more it burned his sanity. But the moment he saw Aparna bounded and Prakriti being manhandled in his mind's eye, his anger just exploded. He let go of Kavin and dragged him by his collar to the wall, and banged his head against it.

"Does it hurt?" he shouted bending down at him.

"Now, you will know how it feels when you hit someone."

He was about to pick him up to bash him again when Dhruv and Siraj stopped him.

"Bhaijaan, let the police take care of him," Siraj said dragging him away.

"Where are they?"

"They are on their way," Dhruv replied, thankful that the ordeal was over. Now the moment Kavin was handed over to the authorities, Aparna will finally be free from him once and for all.

Nishant looked at Kavin filthily and then turned away towards Madhu and the others.

Aparna had walked a little away from them trying to soothe Prakriti who was still sobbing miserably. She made her sit down on of the chairs in the room and brushed away her tears.

"Sweetheart, it's okay. You are safe now."

Prakriti hiccupped trying to gulp down a sob and Aparna looked around for some water. There was a bottle lying next to where Madhu was sitting. She stood up and took a few steps to grab the water.

Seizing the opportunity, Kavin lunged forward and grabbed Prakriti. Aparna cried out loudly as she looked at him dragging her away.

Just as her scream reverberated in the room, Nishant jumped on him but only managed to grab the lapels of his shirt.

"If I can't have her then you'll also not have her," Kavin said devilishly.

Saying this, he picked Prakriti and threw her out of the window but Nishant was quicker than him. He lunged forward and managed to hold her hand as she flew out.

"Princess, don't look down. Look at me," he told Prakriti who was hanging in mid air.

Siraj commanded his men to take Kavin away while he and Dhruv stepped behind Nishant to help him. But as they stepped on that side of the room, the floor cracked and the building shook terribly.

"Move to that side, now," Nishant commanded as he tried to balance his weight.

He knew well that he had little less than seconds before his side of the building gave away. Suddenly he felt Prakriti's hand going limp completely as she lost her consciousness. Her body became heavy and her hand started to slip away inch by inch.

No, no no!

Without thinking about anything else, he pressed himself on the window sill but as he did that he felt excruciating pain in his body. A sharp-edged broken glass piece went through his skin shearing the muscles and tendons in his abdomen.

Nishant closed his eyes and breathed hard trying to focus. Gritting his teeth, he pulled Prakriti up with all his strength. He could hear Aparna shouting his name again and again, and somehow that gave him strength more than anything else.

Prakriti was in his arms safe when he felt the floor breaking beneath his feet. He whirled around and threw her towards them. Just as Dhruv caught Prakriti, the floor cracked and that side of the house crumbled to the ground.

"Nishant!" Aparna shouted just as she saw him falling.

As he landed on rubble with a thud, his body jarred with the impact and for a minute he was blinded by the pain in his back. But then he tried to get up; however, a sharp pain on his left side rendered his senses immobile.
