The next couple of days were spent in frenzy as Prakriti occupied most of Nishant's and Aparna's time. Apart from shopping sprees and evening eat outs; they also went to check many schools for her.

Finally, after checking out six different schools, Aparna was able to narrow down on one. As Prakriti was about to finish her session in the Darjeeling school, she went for the admission test and came out with flying colours.

Aparna was so happy that finally her daughter would be staying with her. But she heaved a sigh of relief only once the admission was finalised and the yearly fees were paid.

Right now, all of them were returning from the school. Dead tired, Prakriti had already dozed off in her lap. Nishant looked at Aparna who was staring out of the window. She hadn't spoken a single word since the time they had left the school.

"Need I call a satellite to get you back to earth?" he asked chuckling.

She smiled and looked at him. Since the time he had come in her life, every little thing had made a difference. Everything was falling into place and finally her mind was in a relaxed mode.

Nishant looked at her satisfactory smile and couldn't help but caress her face. Nothing mattered more than her happiness. He was willing to do anything to see her smile like this. As they reached his apartment, he parked the car in a jiffy and was beside her in a flash to hold Prakriti.

Once they were inside, he settled Prakriti on his bed. Aparna looked on as he opened her shoes and then pulled the covers on.

"Sleep! It's been a long day," he said to her getting up from the bed.

She watched him as he went out of the room. Although she was tired, she was not feeling sleepy. And, the last couple of days had been so hectic that she hadn't been able to spend any time with him. Half closing the bedroom door, she silently followed him to the other room.

Nishant smiled to himself as he looked at the LCD panel in the bathroom and saw Aparna slowly entering the room. He knew she was searching for him but he still waited till she reached the bathroom door. The moment she turned her back to the door, he opened it inaudibly and grabbed her.

"How the hell.....?" she exclaimed frowning.

Slowly he turned her towards the LCD panel in the bathroom.

Aparna stared at the panel and saw 6 different displays. One showed the main door, another had the panoramic view of the drawing room, the next two projected the two balconies and the fifth showed this bedroom. But her eyes widened as she saw the wide-angled view of his bedroom where Prakriti was sleeping.

"This place has hidden surveillance cameras everywhere," he whispered in her ear.

She gulped and asked in a small voice, "Were they always there?"

"Nope! I have just got them installed."

As he moved away from her, she closed her eyes as she figured why he had installed the cameras.

Slowly, she turned and saw him sitting on the bed with his laptop. She clutched the bathroom door for support as the overwhelming feeling of being loved washed over her. She saw him picking up the remote and switching on the LCD screen in front of him and the same display came on. As he raised the volume, the sound of Prakriti's steady and settled breathing reverberated in the room. Silently tears fell down her eyes as her inner core shook with everything around her.

"Nishant!" she called out in a croaky tone.

Just as his gaze rested on her, he rushed to her side.

Without even thinking, Aparna engulfed him in her arms. She just clutched him to herself and sobbed hard.

"Aparna!"

The moment she heard his panicked tone, her sobs intensified. Somehow, she did not want to control her emotions anymore.

Why is she crying? Nishant thought to himself. Finally, when her sobbing did not stop, he pulled her face up to him and placed his lips on hers.

Aparna's mouth opened the moment she felt him grazing her lips. His tongue snaked in and suddenly she could feel nothing other than the sensation of his heated mouth.

Nishant pulled her towards the bed and laid her down, and kept on kissing till she was whimpering with pleasure. Slowly he let go of her mouth and caressed her jaw line with his lips. He moved his lips to her ear and whispered, "I love you."

Aparna dragged his face and looked into his eyes, and saw what he said. She tipped her head back on the bed and he buried his face in her throat.

Somehow, nothing else made sense other than the heat emanating from their bodies. Caresses, whispers and sensations were meaningless. They only felt the beat of their love in every vein in their bodies. As it filled their soul, they clutched each other hard.

Suddenly, Nishant moved away from her and got up from the bed. She looked at her confusingly but he only smiled. He went outside and came back in the room some seconds later.

"I have something for you," he said hiding something behind.

Her eyes narrowed, and he raised his fingers and closed her eyes. Then he lifted her left hand and said softly, "Open your eyes."

The moment she opened her eyes, she was stunned to see him holding a diamond ring. Absolutely speechless, she raised her eyes in wonder.

Nishant slipped the ring on her left ring finger and said passionately, "This is just to remind you that I love you and I am yours, now and forever."

He lowered his head and kissed her finger.

Aparna was so overwhelmed with what was happening she couldn't respond. Breathing hard, she looked at his lowered head and instinctively, placed her cheek on it.

He stood up and sat down next to her. As she circled her arms around his neck, he touched his forehead to hers and said, "You and Prakriti are my world. I will do everything in my power to make you guys happy."

Tears of happiness mingled with his love slipped out and this time Nishant did not stop her. He just kissed her eyes and licked them off.

"Once my princess is settled here, we will ask her if she will let me marry her mother and when she says yes, we will get married," he said hoarsely.

"What if she says no?"

Nishant's vision and mind clouded with the possibility but he still smiled. As tears rolled down his cheeks, he said with conviction, "Aparna, we do not need a name to define us. I'll still be yours and you'll always be by my side even if we are not married. We love each other and nothing in this world can ever change that."

She nodded and slipped into his loving embrace finally abandoning the fear of feeling happy.
