Aparna nodded and buried her face in his chest. Nishant hugged her tight and closed his eyes.
The drumming of their hearts was the only thing reverberating in the serene calmness of the night.
She had already shared everything with him about her life. There was only one thing left. She unlocked her phone and tapped on Prakriti's picture.
"That's her," she said turning the phone screen towards him.
Nishant looked at the face of a child who looked exactly like Aparna. Taking the phone from her, he enlarged the image little and looked into her eyes.
"She has your eyes."
Aparna just smiled and looked lovingly at her daughter. When she had called her in the morning, Prakriti had sounded chirpy as usual and it had made her joyous yet sad at the same time. It had been ages she had seen Prakriti. Suddenly feeling a little down, she let go of Nishant and turned away from him.
Losing her warmth suddenly, he felt empty. But, he knew why she had moved away.
"You are missing her?"
She shook her head lowering it towards the ground trying to hide the truth from him.
"You forget that I can read your silence," Nishant said as he came and stood behind her.
Aparna turned towards him and looked up. Even though, she was with him but still a piece of her was missing in the form of her daughter.
"Can I ask you for something?" Nishant asked looking into her eyes.
When she nodded, he said with emotions constricting his voice, "Can I be a part of you and Prakriti?"
Her eyes misted over the moment she heard him.
"At least give me a chance to know her. I know you and I am sure she is the same as you in every sense. I promise I'll never hurt her ever," Nishant said trying to make her believe that he genuinely wanted this.
Not able to hold herself any longer, she engulfed him into her arms and hugged him tight.
"I am sure she will love you," she said as he pulled away her face and cupped it in his palms.
He smiled and pressed his lips to her forehead. Placing a small kiss, he was about to let go when Aparna buried her face in his throat.
As her lips touched his skin, his body started to respond before even he could control it. Finding a life of their own, his hands started to caress the sides of her back, slowly going up.
Nishant gritted his teeth and tried hard to control the urges going rampant in his body and finally succeeded.
"It's too late. You have had a long day. Go off to sleep," he whispered near her ear.
The moment Aparna heard him, everything stilled in her body, but then she understood the reason for his withdrawal. Without letting him go, she flicked her gaze at him and looked intently in his eyes.
Nishant tried to look everywhere but at her for he knew if he looked in them then, he will be lost. Feeling her gaze on him, he tried to let her go, but felt her holding onto him tightly.
"Aparna!" he whispered warningly.
"Shhhh! don't let me go, please. Love me as no one has ever done," she said placing her nose close to his throat.
As Nishant felt her inhale hard, his senses became jumbled with the thought of her body against his. But he still resisted the urges heating his brain. Sensing his hesitation, Aparna flicked opened the buttons of his t-shirt and placed her palm against his chest.
Nishant felt the burning heat of her touch all the way to his soul. Although, he wanted to stop himself from making love to her but now, all he wanted was to fill her up with only pleasure. He messed his fingers in her hair and pulled her face away from him. Even though her eyes were closed but he could still sense her bated anticipation. Without waiting even for a minute, he lowered himself and placed his lips on hers.
The moment Aparna felt his lips touch hers, she opened her mouth in response wanting to feel him all over her after all these anguished days of waiting.
The warmth of her mouth engulfed him and his tongue plunged inside feeling her skin all the way. Her tongue glided against his and Nishant's body jerked closer with its electric touch. Not able to resist her anymore, he pushed her backwards against the terrace wall.
Just as her back collided with it, her hands fell away from his back and he raised them high on the wall kissing her with fervour. The heat of her tongue scorched everywhere it touched inside his mouth. Feeling his blood drumming hard in his head, he gave in to the uncontrollable passion inside him.
Aparna pressed her lips hard against his mouth and felt his teeth biting softly on her tongue. Whimpering deeply, she tried hard to drag her hands off from the wall, but he pressed his palms tightly restricting their movement.
Pressing his lower body into hers, Nishant deepened the kiss answering her feverish bites on his lips. The moment her teeth landed on his tongue, he let go her hands and cupped her face to make it immobile.
Finding her hands free, Aparna wrapped arms around his neck and pulled him tight against her body. The heat of his passion emanated to her and she moaned hard. Wanting more, she pushed her fingers inside the lapels of his t-shirt.
Her fingers fluttered against his skin and Nishant's body erupted with sensations, which he had been holding at bay fearing the inevitable. Gasping for air, he pulled away an inch from her but Aparna dragged his head back on her linking their lips again.
Helpless and out of control, he had no choice but to feel her drugging mouth playing havoc with his desire-driven mind.
Clenching his fist, he dragged his mouth off her and pushed her away from him.
Aparna protested the moment she felt his warm body pull back. Slumping against the wall, she opened her eyes and looked at him, and froze.
