Chapter Thirty-Four

It was October 22nd the day of the baby shower. I got up and showered. I put on a floral maxi dress on and man did it show my bump. I then got Ethan to help me put on my nude heals. I loosely curled my hair and sprayed it with hairspray so the curls would fall out. I sat down to do my makeup I went with a brown eyeshadow, concealer, mascara, and then filled in my eyebrows. Since my dress had light pink flowers on it Ethan wore a light pink button up that matched the flowers on my dress. For pants he wore a medium brown pair of pants and classic Vans. He died his hair last week back to all brown because he wanted to wait until we found out the gender of the baby to dye a little streak blue or pink. I didn't want to make breakfast this morning so Ethan quickly ran to the smoothie shop a block over from our apartment and got us some smoothies. I drank half of mine and then we had to leave so I brought the other half with me. Ethan grabbed the keys. "Do you wanna drive" he asked. "Yah" I said taking the keys from his hand and giving him a kiss. We were walking to the elevator and Ethan slapped me butt. I just glared at him in a joking way. "What I love you" he said grabbing me hand. "I love you too" I said kissing his hand. We went to the parking garage I got in the drivers seat and started the car. Ethan played some music in on the aux cord. We jammed out for a bit. When we pulled up to his parents house to see Camron's car was already there. "Camron must be starting to set up" I said opening my door. We walked to the front door. Ethan opened it. Lisa came running to the front door. "Hiiii" said said pulling me in for a huge. "You look gorgeous" she said. "Thank you" I said smiling. She went to hug Ethan "I hope you tell her she looks beautiful everyday" she said making me blush. "So what can we help with" I asked. I would check with Cam you know how she can get" Lisa said laughing. Ethan and I went to find Cam in the backyard. "Hey cam" I said giving her a hug. "Heyyy" she said sounding super excited. "So what can we help with" Ethan asked. Okay I have all the information and instructions for the games inside bags with all the supplies needed for that game. Do you guys want to set the activity's up around the house" she asked. "Yah definitely" I said. Ethan and I decided to put the baby name maker as one of the first activity you see when you come in. Lisa had a little table near her front entry so we put the box that had a small opening for paper to slid through. Then we taped the information on the game beside the box. 'Create a baby name using only the letters of Amy and Ethan's name' then we put small pieces of blank paper beside the box. The late night diaper notes were going in the living room. We set out a box of diapers and a pack of colourful sharpies. The paper with information said 'write kind, funny, positive words of encouragement on the back of the diaper place in the teal basket. We decide that the DIY blocks would be best outside just because there was a lot of colouring involved and we didn't want anything getting wreaked. We used a table that was outside and placed a table cloth on it then we placed all the blocks on the table. We set out a new pack of colourful sharpies and markers. The information sheet said 'create a fun and colourful block. Make sure to do all the sides. The baby shower bingo would be outside but we didn't really need to set up for it we just put the bin where we wanted to do the games and we would hand out cards later. Guess that baby animal was another game we didn't have to set up for we just put the box in the living room where we would do it. Once everything was set up Ethan and I sat on the couch. I rested my head on his shoulders and tried not to fall asleep. We were both on our phones he was twitting about the baby shower and I was posting a photo on Instagram that Camron took of Ethan and I. My arms were wrapped around his neck and his were around my waist and we were kissing. My caption was: My Baby's💙
and I tag Ethan in the photo then I turned off my phone and was watching what Ethan was tweeting:
'Baby Shower😇💙' and he tagged me. I ended up having a power nap on Ethan's shoulder while we waited for guest to come.
