Chapter Forty

Ethan's POV

I've been thinking a lot lately. When I say a lot I mean it. Some nights I can't sleep because all I can think about is one thing. I needed to talk to Gray. It was almost 4:00 in the morning. I texted Gray.

Me: Gray I need to talk to you
Gray👨🏽‍💻: about what bro?
Me: can we meet somewhere I kinda need to talk to you in person.
Gray👨🏽‍💻: like right now?
Me: yah bro I really need your advice.
Gray👨🏽‍💻: okay meet at the coffee shop.
Me: thanks🙏🏼

I quietly got out of bed trying not to wake Amy. I threw on my slides, grabbed my coat and my keys. I went down to the parking garage. I drove to the coffee shop to meet with Gray, I was so happy he was still awake. I paid for parking and went in. This was the only coffee shop they was open at this hour. I sat down at a table and waited for Gray. Five minutes later he walked though the door.

"Yo bro what's up" he asked confused.
"Okay so I know I'm young and Amy is too..." he cut me off.
"Please tell me your not breaking up with her" he said in a worried tone.
"No no far from it" I said.
"Okay so what's wrong" he asked.
"I think I want to propose to her. Gray I know I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with her. I just don't know what people will say I mean we are young but were starting a family together and I love her more than I've loved anyone or anything in my whole life" I said hoping he would be happy.
"Oh my god. Bro go for it. F*ck what other people say it's not their life it's yours and hers. If you know she is the girl you're meant to be with who says you can't. Age is just a number" he said smiling. I sighed in relief.
"Thanks Gray. Oh one more question" I said. "Shoot" he said.
"Will you come ring shopping with me" I asked. "Of course bro. I'm here for you" he said smiling. "Thanks Gray" I said.

We talked for a little longer but then I got a text from Amy.

Baby Mama💋: babe where r u it's 4:30 in the morning?
Me: I'll be home in a bit. I'm with Gray.
Baby Mama💋: is everything okay?
Me: everything is perfect😘 I'll be home in 10.
Baby Mama💋: k

I thanked Gray for the advice and told I had to go. I went back home I could finally get some sleep knowing I was going to propose to the love of my life. When I woke up in the morning Amy wasn't in bed. I went to the kitchen and she was eating cereal. "Morning" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Morning" she said in a pissed off tone. "Is everything okay" I asked. "You tell me Eth" she snapped. "What do you mean" I asked looking at her. "What do I mean... are you f*ucking kidding me. Let see I mean the fact that you left the house at 4:30 in the morning with out even telling me then you lie to me and tell me your with Gray and then you just expect everything to be okay" she yelled. I wanted to tell her to calm down because it was bad for the babies but if I did she would get more pissed off. "Look babe I'm sorry I should have told you I was leaving but I was with Gray you can even call him" I said. "Fine" she said picking up her phone and calling him. "Hey Gray I have a quick question but where were you at 4:30 in the morning" she asked. "Eth and I went to a coffee shop just a few blocks down from your guys place" he told her. "Okay thanks" she said and hung up the phone. I went to sit by her. "I told you" I said. She stood up from her chair and rapped her arms around my neck bringing me in for a hug. She cried in the shoulder. "Babe I'm sorry" she said crying. Mood swings. I rubbed circles on her back trying to calm her down. "Babe it's okay" I said still rubbing her back. When she had calmed down a bit we went back to our room and watched some Netflix. Amy ended up falling asleep with her head rested on my shoulder. I love her so much and I can't wait until the day it will be official. I can already imagine her walking down the isle in a beautiful white dress. I don't know what I did to end up with her as my girlfriend but I'm so glad it happened.
