Chapter Fifty-Five

Do you guys have any Dolan twin book recommendations. I've been struggling to find ones that I haven't read.

I fell asleep for maybe two hour when I heard a faint cry come though the baby monitor. I sighed then removed the covers and got out of bed. I walked down the hall to the boys room. I pushed the door open and picked up the crying baby. I checked to make sure Connor wasn't wet. He must be hungry. I sat down on the rocking chair and took my shirt off and grabbing a blanket. I feed Connor then went back to bed. Ethan's arm wrapped around me right away. He kissed my shoulder. I fell asleep and thirty minutes later a cry came though the monitor. I woke up and shook Ethan. "Babe it's your turn" I said hitting his shoulder. He groaned and got up dragging himself to the boys room. I could hear him though the baby monitor. "Shhh everything's going to be okay" he said calmly. I smiled. I could hear him going though the changing table drawers. I fell back asleep within ten minutes I was woken up by ethan. "Babe he won't stop crying" he said tiredly. I sat up resting my back again our bed frame. I took Kaleb from him. "Come to mamma" I said talking him. He slowly stopped crying. I quickly feed him then took him back to his crib. "I suck at this" ethan said as I got back into bed. "No you don't" I said kissing him. "Babe he was crying for ten minutes as soon as you take him he stopped" he said. "He just needed his mom. Sometimes they will just need me and sometimes they will just needs you, and most of the time they will need us" I said snuggling into his chest and rubbing him stomach. He kissed my forehead and we both fell back asleep. The pattern of waking up every hour or so continued until 11:00 when I decided to get up. I had a shower just to wake myself up. I put on a pair and adidas pants and my hoodie along with my grey slippers. I took the baby monitor into the kitchen just in case they cried they wouldn't wake up ethan. I made breakfast for Ethan and I. I also made him coffee. I wasn't supposed to have coffee for another month since I just gave birth. As I was flipping a pancake ethan came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me planting kisses down my neck. "Morning" I said and turned around. "Morning he said and gave a me kiss. "Your coffee is on the counter" I said pointing to the cup. He grabbed it and sat down at the island in our kitchen. I placed his food in front of him and put mine beside him. "Can I see your phone" I asked. I went though the photos he took at the hospital of the boys and us holding them. I sent myself the photos so I could post one. I used the photo Grayson took on Ethan's phone. It was of me, ethan and the boys we were holding them while we sat on the hospital bed. My caption was:

We cleaned up our plants when we were done ethan ended up posting a photo as well. When we were done a reminder on my phone showed up.

'Book check up for twins'

I grabbed my computer and phone and sat on the couch. I went to the website to get the phone number.

"Children's Hospital child appointment centre how Can I assist you today" a woman said into the phone.
"Hi I'm calling too book a check up for newborns" I said.
"Perfect Can I have the last name"
"Dolan. D-O-L-A-N" I said and spelt it out.
"For Connor and Kaleb"
"Correct"
"Okay so it says here one month so that puts us in February. We have the 11th available at the moment" she said
"Okay do you have around 11:00" I asked
"Yes we do would you like too book February 11th at 11:00" she asked
"Yes please"
"Okay it's book. Do you have any other questions" she asked.
"No I think that's all thank you" I said and hung up the phone.
Ethan came back from our room with his phone and sat beside me. I rested my head on his shoulder. "What's wrong babe" he said rubbed my shoulder. "Nothing I'm just tired" I said slowly closing my eyes. Before I could even close them we heard a cry come from their room. "Ugh" I signed just about to get up. "I'll get it" ethan said kissing me. "E, they are probably hungry" I said seeing as how it had almost been two hours since they last ate. "If they are I'll bring them to you" he said. I smiled and nodded. Sure enough he came back with Kaleb in his arms. As Ethan entered the room I took off my shirt and unclaimed my bra. "Can you get me a blanket" I said as he handed me Kaleb. "Yah one second" he said and went to get one. I feed Kaleb while ethan sat beside us on the couch. After a while your boobs start too hurt from babies sucking on them and since it was double the amount mine were in a lot of pain. "E, I think we need to buy formula" I said pulling Kaleb off my boob. "Why, what's wrong" he asked concerned. I held Kaleb and showed him how red and beat up my nipples looked. "What happened" he asked getting closer and putting a hand on it. "Your sons happened" I said putting my bra and shirt back on. "So now they are just my sons" he asked. "Yah when they are cute or not crying they are ours or mine. But when they are crying or causing me pain they are yours" I said with a giggle. I took Kaleb back to his room and pushed though the pain of feeding Connor. When I was done I gave Connor to Ethan so he could change him. Ethan took Connor to his room. I went to check on them. Ethan was facing away from the door so I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around him and planted kisses all over his shirtless muscular back. "I love you" I said as he finished. He turned around and kissed me. "I'm taking that as a you love me too" I said smiling. He nodded his head and kissed me some more. We put Connor in his crib and went back to the living room. We relaxed for the rest of the day. Everyone hour our so getting up to take care of one of the kids. Babies are definitely a lot of work but I'm so happy ethan is here to help me.
