The Mobian at the door stared at her long lost daughter before pulling her into a bone crushing hug. Tears sprung from the white female's eyes as she grasped hold of her baby, promising herself to never let her go again. Jayde leaned into her mother's touch, wrapping her arms around her and breathing in her scent – it was just like she remembered; roses and marshmallow. The young hedgehog buried her face in her parent's light orange clothing, ears bent back.

The mother pulled away, wiping her eyes, "Jayde, you silly girl, where did you run off to? I thought you were gone!" she cried, hugging her tightly again.

"I'm fine, Mum." Jayde whispered, the overwhelming feeling of joy filling her. From behind, the gang smiled with happiness as they watched the reunion.

The older hedgehog opened her orbs and looked behind her daughter, "Jayde, who are these Mobians?"

Sonic jumped forwards, bowing slightly, "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog, Miss." Jayde chuckled slightly and rolled her eyes at the blue speedster.

"Mum, these are my friends. They've helped me through a lot recently." She smiled but it quickly turned into a frown, "But right now they need a place to stay. I know I have a lot of explaining to do, but they really-"

The white hedgehog laughed at her daughter, "You're still the same Jayde, always looking out for others before yourself. You can stay as long as you need, darling – this is your home." Jayde looked to her Mom and grinned, "And hello, you guys. My name's Luna. I guess you can tell that I'm Jayde's mother."

Amy was surprised at the likeness in personality and speech between the two, even having being separated for a long time. The Mobians looked to the door when a new voice was heard; a much deeper, lower voice, "Moon, what's going on?"

"Alester, look!" Luna cried, tugging on her husband's arm.

In front of the group, a light jade male hedgehog appeared with dark blue stripes on his quills. He wore red gloves and boots and around his waist was a thick belt which held a sword. His hazel eyes scanned the group before he landed on an all too familiar face, "Jayde?"

The female jumped up onto her father, leaving him to wrapped her arms around her and spin her around like they always did, "Hey, Dad." She whispered, smiling as she tightened her grip on him.

Shadow saw the resemblance between her father and Jayde's Riots form. Maybe the main reason why she became a Protector was because it came from her father. It was clear that he was a guard or soldier of some sort. Alester smiled widely, not caring if anyone saw how happy he was right now, "My baby's home after all this time." He set his daughter down and grinned, "What was it like in the big world?"

"Dad!" she grinned, "It was... difficult. But I have so much to tell you and all the fights I've been in-!"

"Fight?" Luna stopped her, "Jayde, I thought we had this talk before about fights. You fought enough in school!" The female blushed slightly as her friends behind her laughed, even the Ultimate Lifeform.

"Who's your gang?" Alester asked, "Did they help you smack the enemy to a pulp?"

Jayde grinned, fist bumping her father, "Heck, yeah!" Amy chuckled slightly, understanding where she got her main personality from – there was no doubt it came from her father.

08:37: Luna and Alester's home

Jayde sat in front of her parents, everyone sitting around in the lounge with a mug of coffee. They got in just before it rained and the inside of Jayde's former home was even more amazing than the out. In the lounge was a rounded sofa, with a stone coffee table that held a small fire pit in the middle. The kitchen was dark oak with a small island in the centre, along with brown plates and bowls and silver cutlery.

"So, I guess you want to know why I ran off and what I've been doing over the past few years?" Jayde asked. Shadow sat next to her, being close to her in case she needed any help.

Luna nodded, holding onto her husband who had an arm wrapped around her waist, "If you can, sweetie. We don't want to bring up any... bad memories." She spoke softly, referring to the death of her twin sibling.

Jayde took a deep breath, her leg bouncing in its place, "During the battle before I left, Jayden and I decided to find another way to stop the robot..."

And so, the grey female began telling her mother and father every part of her journey. From the day she left, to meeting Cleobella, to working for Torrent, to gaining power from the Shards, to meeting Sonic and his friends. After that, she told them about the first battle with Dr Eggman, how she had become part of her Negative form, "Shadow saved me from Raven." Jayde spoke, now clutching hold of the ebony hedgehog's hand, "I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for him."

"I wouldn't have let you stay trapped in her." Shadow mumbled, glancing at her parents. Their orbs were locked questioningly on their intertwined hands, but didn't speak of it. After explaining about Jayde's first transformation into her Riots form, she went on to tell them about Adversity and meeting her Moebius counterpart.

"I never knew we had lookalikes from another dimension." Alester spoke.

Sonic added to the conversation, "They're more like our opposites. Basically, they are nothing like you are but more the conflicting Moebian."

Jayde nodded, "Yeah, according to Jaylee, you and Mum in her dimension didn't care about her at all and only focused on her sister. In the end, with Scourge's help, she killed them."

"Well, they seem lovely." Alester muttered sarcastically.

The Protector nodded with a grin, before continuing and telling them about the final battle between them and Adversity and saving Shadow. After, she told them about her new job as an Agent for GUN, and how that has lead to this moment, "Torrent was never actually a bad person. It wasn't until he found out about the weakness in GUN that he started to turn against the good." Jayde sighed, still holding onto Shadow's gloved hand unknowingly, "And now, he's after us. He doesn't know about this place because I never told him – at least, I don't remember telling him."

Sonic spoke up, "Even if you did, it gives us a few days before he finds out where we are."

Jayde looked to her parents sorrowfully, "I know I've only just returned and I hate to bring this to you, but would we be able to stay for a few days?"

Luna smiled at her daughter, "Sweetie, I told you that you can stay as long as you need. However, you do need to share rooms because there's only three spare including yours and Jayden's."

"That's enough for us."
