Music: Never Alone - Ahrix
12:33: Unknown Place
Jayde was thrown harshly against the ground of her cell but she was quick to sit up. Azure orbs looked at the angry male in front of her, hatred filling her. She couldn't seem weak and defenceless in front of him anymore. He'd already made her look pathetic by tying her to a chair and it was time to put a cold demeanour on her face, "Why are you doing this, Torrent?" she asked, carefully standing to her feet, "You were never truly evil like you started to be since that day."
Torrent's back was turned away from her as he let out a small chuckle, "You know, nothing does work without you." He mumbled.
The Protector looked at him confusedly. What in Chaos did he mean by that? "What do you mean?" she asked, leaning against the wall as her body was tired from the amount of struggling she had done that day.
"You're the only one I've told my heritage to. You're the only one who knows what happened all those years ago." He spoke quietly until his fist slammed against the wall, bright ice eyes snapping towards her, making Jayde flinch, "Then you betrayed me."
Jayde growled, clenching her fists, "You were going to harm innocent people and I wasn't going to let you do that!"
He walked over to her, yelling, "Do you know how hurt I was when you left me to die? You saw me injured, I begged you for help and you turned and left me!"
"Because I knew you wouldn't have changed!" she snapped, nose to nose with the enemy. Jayde looked at him and spoke with a harsh tone, "If I had saved you, nothing would have changed. You would still want revenge, just like you do now!"
Torrent scoffed and turned away. But then again Jayde could still see the hurt behind his icy eyes. She had never realised that the bat would've been so upset by this. However, the more she thought about it, the more she realise something. He was never betrayed by his family but those that killed them had. Jayde knew she was the only one that he had told, and when she left him, it must have broken something inside him. She turned her head to the side and sighed, "Look, I'm sorry that I left you. I'm sorry that I apparently 'betrayed you', but you still need to stop this." She spoke. Torrent's ears pricked up, telling her that he was listening, "It's not them you want revenge on, okay. You want revenge on me. Don't hurt my friends and everyone else because of something that I did years ago."
Torrent chuckled, his ice blue ears looking over his shoulder at her, "You think I only want revenge on you?" he laughed, "Oh, no, I want revenge on all those people out there that killed my family."
"But why? Why those people who had nothing to do with that attack? Why Sonic and all his friends?" Jayde walked in front of him, "Why Tails?"
"Tails was just the bait, I knew you'd come for him because you believe he is one of the most important Mobians in the group when really, its you." Torrent muttered, looking away from her.
Jayde shook her head, "It's not me. Everyone is important, and everyone bring something knew to the group. If something goes wrong, we sort it together - that's something you lack."
Torrent chuckled, "And you think everyone is truthful to you? You think there are no secrets in that little job of yours?"
Jayde frowned, "What are you talking about?"
Blue eyes sparked as he turned to the Protector in front of him, "245 complete missions," he spoke, "Shadow the Hedgehog, the Ultimate Lifeform - being that can kill without reason, without hesitation, without emotion."
