Music: Unexpected - David Bulla

The water under them was replaced once again with ground and they all landed safely. Knuckles gilded to the grey hedgehog who had caught herself in a high tree and brought her down. Tears were pouring from the pink hedgehog's orbs as she pressed her ear against Sonic's peach chest, listening to his slow heartbeat, "Tails!" Amy cried, watching the twin tailed fox rush beside her and press his hands against his brother's chest in a rhythmic pattern.

Everyone surrounded them just as Sonic coughed up water, Amy immediately pulling him against her chest to support him. The blue blur gripped her arm, burying his head in her clothing as he breathed heavily, "A-Ames?"

The pink female gently kissed his forehead, "It's okay Sonic, the water's gone."

"No... you're bleeding." He spoke, pressing his gloved thumb against the wound on her arm that she didn't know was there.

Amy chuckled slightly, followed by the red echidna, "You almost drowned and you're worrying about a small cut on Amy's arm?"

Sonic looked tiredly up to Knuckles before leaning against Amy again and wrapping his arms around her surprised form, "I don't want my Ames to be hurt."

The light blue fox rolled her orbs and placed a hand on her hip with a smirk, "You and Jayde have possessive issues over your lovers." Cleobella laughed, everyone else joining in apart from the said two and Shadow.

Jayde looked at her in confusion, "What?"

"How?" Sonic asked, ignoring the heat as it faintly rose on his muzzle.

"Well, you've said 'my Shadow' before," Cleobella pointed to Jayde, "And you just said, 'my Ames'... Actually, now I think of it, I think all hedgehogs have possessive issues." She snickered, high fiving the ivory bat who held up her hand.

"So, you finally admit it, Blue?" Jet spoke as the Babylon's landed beside them.

Sonic glared at them all, "I admit nothing." He spoke, but anyone could hear the lie behind it. Amy chuckled at her blue hero before placing another kiss on the side of his muzzle, leaving him a blushing mess on the floor as she stood up.

"Well, isn't this cute." A voice spat. Everyone turned to the see the green bat hobbling to stand. His glasses had completely cracked down the middle, and he had bloody bruises all over his body. He prepared to fire one last shot before the energy was to cease from him and his body to give in. Shadow growled and stood protectively in front of Jayde, hiding her from his target. Torrent simply smirked, "Jayde's not the one I want, Ultimate Lifeform."

The enemy went to fire until the golden inhibitor collar was clamped around his neck. His whole body went into a state of shock as he tried to find his words. Jayde stepped forward as Torrent dropped, noticing the figure behind him. The cloak covered his shadowed face, the only thing visible was his bright red eyes - but they weren't ones to be fearful of. He glanced at everyone before landing on Jayde. He nodded once at her before turning and disappearing in an instant.

"Who was that?" Amy asked, holding on to the blue blur as he stood.

"Yeah, and how did he get the inhibitor collar from me?" the azure male muttered. Knuckles walked up to the bat and yanked him to his feet without protest. He had been defeated.

Jayde smiled, staring at the empty spot, "Thank you, Shine."

01:57: Luna and Alester's house

Jayde laid on the top of her parent out, arms behind her head, looking up at the stars. After battling Torrent and handing him into GUN's holding cell for the night, they returned to Jayde's parents - mainly so that her Mum didn't worry her socks off anymore. They all needed a place that felt like home and apparently, her parents made it feel like it here.
