Thanksgiving break is now over, and everyone is back to school. You could tell that no one wanted to be here from all the groans and faces the kids made. I personally didn't want to be here, but it wasn't just because of school, it was because of Jacob. We broke up, but I still have to see him Monday through Friday now.

"Morning Natalie." Georgia, the secretary said.

"Morning Georgia. How was your break?"

"It was amazing. How was yours?"

"Okay, could've been better."

"Oh, well you always have next year."

"Yep."

I walked past the front desk and went to my office. I opened the door to see Jacob doing paperwork. I used to love sharing offices, but now I regret it. Jacob looked up at me, and then looked back at his papers. I know that I wanted to break up with him, but it still hurts having him break up with me. It also sucks that he looks ten times hotter upset. I went to my desk and started checking for any appointments. I had one at 10:25 with a tenth grader named crystal, another one at 11:00 for an eleventh grader named Justin, and then one at 1:30 for a ninth grader named Amelia . As I was looking over some paperwork, my phone started to ring. I checked the caller ID and saw that it was Oli. My eyes lit up and my heart started racing. I'm not really supposed to be taking in personal calls during work hours, but this one was important.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hey Natalie." Oli said. I missed his voice.

"Hey Oli, how's everything up there?" Jacob's eyes shot up at me when I said Oli's name. Someone was jealous.

"It's going good. I um, I have something to ask."

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Well, I haven't really seen you and Cassie since the summer, and I really miss both of you, so I was wondering if it would be cool for you guys to fly up here for Christmas break."

I smiled to myself at the thought of being able to see him again. This could be our chance to get back together. He still has to break up with Alissa, which I sort of feel bad about since they seemed like a good couple, but Jordan told me that he is only using her as a replacement for me.

"Yeah, that would be amazing Cassie and I would love that."

"Me and everyone else would love that too. The boys are actually missing you guys, including Curtis."

"Wait, Curtis?" My heart started beating fast when he mentioned Curtis.

"Hey, I'm just kidding. I haven't talked to that  jackass ever since you, well.. you know."

"Yeah, let's not bring that up."

"Yeah, well it was nice talking to you love. I'll buy you and Cassie's airplane tickets and send it to you. I can't wait to see you two."

"I can't wait to be up there. Bye Oli."

"Bye Natalie." He said and then hung up the phone.

I sat my phone down and continued to look at paperwork. A big smile was plastered upon my face from talking to Oli. It's so weird that we can just let go of all of the problems that we had in the past, and try to get back together. Really, if I would've let go of the past, we could've been a happy family.

"Sorry to ruin your little happy moment, but you know you're not supposed to take in personal phone calls." Jacob intervened.

"Sorry for ruining your little bitchy moment, but you know you shouldn't be such a bitch towards your co-workers."

"Natalie, this is a high school. You can't use that language."

"Oh chill, they use that language all the time."

"Hey, can we please just talk this out."

I paused and turned my chair to face him. I really hope he wasn't trying to get back together.

"What do you want?"

"I talked to my mom, and she told me that she lied about what she said."

"Oh, so the Barbie doll is telling the truth now."

"Natalie, she's not a Barbie doll, okay. You shouldn't have been rude to her still. Anyways, can we please put that beside us and work things out. I know it may seem like I hate your guts because of what happened, but I still love your guts . I still want to be with you."

I sighed. "Listen, Jacob. I... I can't do this. I just don't think I can have your mom boss me around like she did thanksgiving. Don't take this the wrong way though, you're an amazing guy. You just deserve someone who doesn't have such a fucked up past with guys like me. I mean, I have a really bad time with guys."

"Wow Natalie. That is the most cliche thing to say to try and break up with me. "

"Okay then, I tried to sugar coat it, but I guess you didn't like that. I don't love you anymore. I still love Oli. In fact, I've always loved Oli. It took me over thirteen years to realize that I still love the guy who destroyed my heart. Yeah, I may have cheated on him with my ex from high school, and then date you, but all of this was because I was confused on what I wanted. I finally realized that it was him that I wanted."

It was quiet for a little while, and then Jacob started laughing.

"You're one messed up girl. What you said made absolutely no sense, and it wasn't just the language barrier. You could've just told me you didn't like me instead of being all dramatic. Gosh, Americans are so extra."

"Says the Ukrainian boy whose mother is a walking plastic doll that girls love to play with."

"Oh my gosh, can you please shut up about that!" He yelled. "Besides, plastic surgery is something that happens often. Why are you so obsessed wit my mom's"

"See, she did have plastic surgery. I wouldn't be so obsessed if she would've just said that she had worked done. She didn't have to lie about it."

Jacob rolled his eyes and went back to work. I turned back to my desk and started preparing for my first appointment that would be taking place in twenty minutes.

A/N: sorry I haven't posted in a while. I had writers block, and I was also busy. I'm also sorry if this chapter didn't make any sense, and if it sucked.
