A/N- Chapter 40? Whatttt?? Tysm for all of your support, here's an update for Y'all.

During dinner a few nights later, Harley had to excuse herself as her phone rang and she entered the back garden. It was Roger. He sounded distressed but also thankful at the same time as he had news on the Pollards and why they could have been researching her. "Slow down!" She cried to the elder wizard, "Say that again."

"You need to get here right now, it's an emergency, relating to the Pollards and yourself. It's not great news either, sweetheart. Please, just get here now." He said, finally slowing down. Harley cut the line and ran a hand through her hair. Not great news... oh fuck a duck, she thought and re-entered the house.

"Everything okay?" Questioned Bill as he helped his mother with clearing the table.

"I'm sorry, thank you for dinner, Mrs Weasley, but I really have to go, that was the boss, he needs to see me." Harley turned to Bill's mother who was wiping her hands down her apron.

Bill looked at her with one eyebrow raised, "Do you need me to come with?"

She shook her head, "No, it shouldn't be anything to worry about, probably just to inform me of any tomb closures or maintenance." Harley lied, something she was quite skilled at doing, and patted his shoulder. The Weasley's all nodded and bade her goodnight as she exited the house leaving the family to interrogate Bill.

Molly clapped her hands together, "So William, is there anything you would like to tell us?" She questioned him with a smirk plastered on her wrinkling face. Bill looked at her in confusion as Charlie and Ginny tried to hide their grins as they knew exactly what their mother was getting at.

"I don't understand mum..."

Arthur rolled his eyes, "I'm sure dear, that if Bill had a girlfriend he would tell us, wouldn't you son?"

Bill sighed, "Of course not, I don't need my siblings teasing me, but to answer your question I do not have a girlfriend."

"Bullshit." Charlie coughed and fortunately, nobody caught on to what he had said. "Not even Harley, Bill?" He added with a wink.

"Not even Harley, Charles." Bill glared at him. "Anyway, from what I heard it sounds as if Percy has found himself a girl unless what the little birdie had said was a lie." He shot a look at Ginny who stared at him in shock.

Percy's ears tinted pink and he buried his nose further into his book, "If you must know, I am courting someone of known of your concern."

"Courting? You sound like Aunt Muriel!" Snorted Ron.

Percy sent daggers towards him before spitting, "How's Hermione, Ronald?"

Ron coughed and spluttered and the twins snickered even louder as Mrs Weasley gushed, "Oh my, first Percy and now Ron! Oh, Hermione is a lovely girl, although I thought she'd have gone for Harry, that Lavender Brown girl seems more of your type, dear."

"I ain't going out with 'Mione, wouldn't even dream of it. And Lavender Brown? Ew, no thanks. Besides, Harry wouldn't go for 'Mione either, well hopefully not as we all know someone has the hots for him, which I should remind them that he is my best friend." The boy turned to Ginny who blushed and buried her head in Charlie's arm as her older brother hugged her close.

The twins' chortles grew louder until Bill smirked at them, "And who do you two like then boys?"

"No one." The coughed composing themselves. "We're free men, who do not need women to tie them down."

Ginny snorted, "You say that now, next year one of you will be smitten, I'm telling you."

"Want to bet on that, sister dearest?" Fred retorted.

"Five galleons." She challenged, shaking their hands. "One of you by the end of next year will be smitten, maybe not have a girlfriend, but will be smitten."

"Deal." They chorused.

Harley joined Roger at his dinner table which had lots of paper and books spread open on it. the man looked even more distressed then what he sounded like on the phone. His balding head looked balder than the previous day when she popped into work to check everything was okay and they didn't need her. His eyes looked full of sorrow, however, which confused the young woman even more. "You might want to sit down, Harley." Stated Roger sitting on a chair and shuffling through the paperwork.

Harley took a seat beside him before asking, "I get that it's about the Pollards, but what exactly is wrong?" She glanced at a few of the sheets waiting for a reply as the man gathered paper into his hands.

He took a deep breath before answering her question. "Harley your mother and father were friends with the Pollards. Back in school, they were the best of friends, but the Pollards were in Slytherin, which isn't much of a surprise. However, that isn't the worst news. When was the last time you had contact with your parents?"

"Uh, a couple of months after Christmas why?"

"What did they say?"Roger continued.

Harley pondered for a moment until she finally remembered part of the letter, "That they were moving to North Carolina with some friends, Celeste and Barry Thomasin and that the house we used to live in is now mine. What's the need for this?"

"Sweetheart, they were murdered, in May, by the Pollards, it looks like as their family crest was burned onto their skin. It was covered up by the American Ministry, MACUSA. I'm sorry."

Harley's breath was caught in her throat. She tried processing everything but she couldn't. Her parents were dead. They had been dead for months and she didn't know. Remus and Lyall didn't know either. They were actually dead.

And Harley did not feel any remorse whatsoever.
