The hundred had been complaining about Jasper's moaning for a while, so Hazel decided to go to the lower level and keep the peace. And when she told her two conscious companions, they knew that whatever the dirty blonde would be saying to the other prisoners would not be peaceful. "Call me if he gets worse," she ordered Octavia and Monty. The two nodded in sync, placing their trust in the dirty blonde, self-proclaimed doctor. They also prepared to cover their ears because they figured Hazel would be using some extra colorful language when she yelled at the complaining hundred.

"That kid's driving me crazy."

"Can't take this much longer."

"Someone needs to shut that kid up."

Hazel reached the bottom of the ladder and was about to shut them all up and explain that they had to get over themselves when she was aggressively pushed to the side. Her eyes scanned the dropship briskly for her abuser but she couldn't tell by the overcrowded abundance of people in the ship. She was unable to spot her attacker, but she let her gaze fall on Murphy who abruptly stood up from his self made hammock, "That's it. I'm ending this." Hazel was confused as to what he was referring to but it did not take her long to figure it out. The dirty blonde was immediately infuriated as she realized that her best friend wanted to end Jasper's life because he was a nuisance.

"I heard Bellamy gave him till tomorrow," a random prisoner said.

Murphy didn't seem to care, "Yeah, well, Bellamy isn't here, is he? The kid's dying anyway. I'm just getting it over with." His words triggered a side of his best friend that no one had ever seen before. The lanky brunette really should not have said that.

"Don't you dare," Hazel growled as she had gotten up from her place on the ground and stood in front of the ladder protectively, crossing her arms. She knew she could easily be overpowered by Murphy and the others, she just hoped Monty and Octavia would be able to lock the hatch to keep everyone else out. For now, she believed that she could hold her own against the hundred and remind them of their morality. They had never seen her this angry, and threatening Jasper's life had woken a beast inside of her.

Murphy's face dropped as he took in the sight of his best friend going against him. And although he cared for her and knew how important saving Jasper's life was to Hazel, Murphy was beyond irritated by the injured boy. His irritation overpowered his sympathy. The lanky male knew that no matter how much he pissed the dirty blonde off, she would always forgive him. "Move out of my way, Hazel."

"Make me," she challenged, clenching her jaw and sassily putting all of her weight on one foot so she could lean on that same hip. Murphy took one step forward and she straightened her back, glaring at him with all of her might. Hazel was not going to go down easy, no matter how physically weak she was. The point wasn't to fight back, it was to give Octavia and Monty enough time to realize what was going on so they could lock the hatch.

Suddenly, Hazel was pushed to the side, again. She hit the floor, her head painfully coming in contact with one of the broken oxygen pipes that had originally been damaged when they landed. The dirty blonde moved her hand to the side of her head and winced in pain, pulling it back to see blood. "I'll kill him," she muttered to herself. Hazel slowly got to her knees but paused when she started to involuntarily sway. This head injury was the exact opposite of what she needed right now.

"I'm gonna kill him, okay? Let me in! Let me in, Monty!" Murphy screamed as he banged against the closed hatch that led to the upper level. Hazel drowsily watched as her best friend continued to hit the hatch. "Both of you better open up this hatch right now!" With a weak smile, Hazel sent up a prayer thanking Octavia and Monty for keeping Murphy away from Jasper. Even though she now had a head injury and possible concussion, she was happy to at least have been able to give the other two enough time to shut the hatch. Jasper was safe, he was going to be okay. As a doctor (and a person who actually had a soul with good intentions), Hazel had been successful in protecting her patient—for now.
