Hazel, Finn, and Murphy wasted no time in climbing up the rest of the tree to Jasper's rescue. When they had all found stable positions, they immediately got to work. The two boys were focusing on untying him while Hazel was checking his slow pulse and overwhelmingly hot temperature. "Hurry up, Murphy," Finn snarled to his sister's best friend. He was never aware of their friendship due to the fact that Hazel and Finn were separated in all of their classes while locked up. Coming down to the ground and finding out about it was a shock. The shaggy-haired teen could never possibly understand how his sweet, darling older sister could even tolerate Murphy's asshole-y presence.

"Hurry up, both of you," Hazel glowered at her brother. She was not going to play favorites between the two most important people to her, especially when they were barely stabilized in a tree untying someone who had been strung up as live bait. "We need to get out of here before whatever Jasper was supposed to be the dinner of comes back and has a six course meal instead of just one."

Finn lost his balance and almost toppled over off of the branch he was seated on, making Clarke shout out, "Be careful!" Murphy was somehow able to catch him, however, so the shaggy-haired male did not fall. The dirty blonde gave her friend a grateful smile for her brother who refused to acknowledge the fact that Murphy had just saved him.

There was a distant growling noise. Finn and Murphy continued to cut the ties as Hazel gulped and whispered, "We're all going to die. We are all going to die." She had finished checking his pulse and temperature and was now trying to help the two males untie Jasper. It was no easy task.

"What the hell was that?" Murphy asked as he turned toward the sound, trying to figure out where it was coming from. The terrifying growling continued. "Grounders?" Wells thought out loud, but Finn shook his head as he saw something moving in the distance.

Clarke looked to Bellamy as soon as saw an animal slowly creeping towards them, like a predator stalking towards its prey. "Bellamy, gun!"

Hazel's eyes snapped to the older male's waistband, only to see that his gun was missing. The curly haired brunette looked even more confused. He couldn't have dropped it, right? Because, my god, if he dropped it. . . The medics began to panic as she repeated again, "We're all gonna die."

Then, everything escalated very quickly. The echoing noise of each gunshot rang out hauntingly through the air as Wells took the animal down. When everyone but Hazel breathed a sound of relief, she screamed, "Bellamy, look out!" After screaming it, the dirty blonde realized how unhelpful her words were. She didn't even give him a direction.

He looked at her, alarmed, before hearing the sudden movement behind him. It was not dead. The carnivorous animal was back on its feet—no, now it was launching itself at Bellamy's defenseless form. The brunette spun around to see the large, black panther-like animal fall to the ground, Wells had fired the handgun, landing a bullet directly in the animal's head.

Wells continued to pull the trigger of the gun, which clicked multiple times, signaling an empty barrel. He was obviously in shock, still squeezing the trigger when Bellamy glanced at him, "Now she sees you." The Blake then looked over to the dirty blonde who had one hand over her chest and the other fanning her face as well as wiping the tears that must have fallen from her eyes.

Although no one seemed to know what Bellamy was talking about besides Wells, they didn't ask any questions. Instead, they continued hurrying to get Jasper down from the tree so that they could get back to camp as soon as possible. Once they reached the ground, Hazel walked past Bellamy and briefly brushed her hand against his arm before turning to Wells and saying, "Thanks for saving us." Finn gave Jaha a nod before following after his older sister, carrying Jasper on his back, and soon getting help from Bellamy.
