"Oh, my god!" Maya exclaimed as she walked out of her bedroom, staring at her home with disgust. Her eyes scanned the destroyed room, glancing from the dried blood trail that led to her father's bedroom to the glass that was embedded into the carpet to her beer soaked, now-wrinkled copy of Gone With the Wind. She then turned her accusing glare to her older cousin, before growing even more disgusted, "Don't you own a shirt?"
But the curly haired brunette just grinned, "Yes, actually. Your little friend, Hazel, just happens to be wearing it." The dirty blonde's eyes widened as she looked down and realized just how big the dark green hoodie looked on her. It was lazily thrown on a chair in the kitchen so of course it was Theo's.
"I am so sorry, I didn't—" Hazel began to ramble, not wanting her friend to get the wrong impression of the situation. She quickly began taking it off, "I didn't realize it was yours!"
But Theo only laughed and held his hand out to stop her from removing the article of clothing, "Don't worry about it, it looks good on you." And with that, Maya rolled her eyes and gagged in disgust as her dirty blonde haired friend blushed madly. As a result, both reactions from the females made the chef's grin widen even more, if possible.
The cousins continued to bicker while Hazel felt herself being pulled into her thoughts.
"Jeez! Would it kill you to put a shirt on?"
He blinked, "This is my tent."
"So inconsiderate, gosh," Hazel murmured, keeping her eyes trained on the door as she waited for the brunette to clothe himself.
He then asked, "What are you doing in here anyway?" He frowned at himself because he hadn't meant for his words to sound so harsh.
"I just wanted to check on you," she explained, still looking at the ground, "to see if you were okay." The dirty blonde was rubbing the toe of her newly cleaned shoe in the dirt, which was one of her nervous habits she had recently developed.
He didn't respond so Hazel glanced up. He was still shirtless. "Do you not own any shirts?" She complained as she averted her eyes back to the ground.
"It's my tent," he shrugged. Hazel looked up again as he said, "If you don't like it, get out." He scowled at himself again, hating how he was spitting out cruel sounding words before thinking.
Silence fell over them as their eyes locked intensely for what felt like the thousandth time that day. Hazel suddenly realized just exactly what his words had meant and quickly turned around. "Okay. Bye," she nervously called before she bolted from the tent. Hazel didn't want him to mistake her confusion for hesitation, that would be bad.
Not that she didn't like what she saw...
The dirty blonde was pulled out of her thoughts as a rough thumb brushed across her lips and was shocked when another pair of lips met hers. The kiss was quick, and Theo pulled away before she could even register what was going on. "Alright, I'm off. Diane will have my balls if I don't show up soon," he said to his cousin, who was staring between him and Hazel. The curly haired brunette then turned to Hazel and winked before saying, "I hope I'll be seeing you later."
Theo leaned down and grabbed his t-shirt from the previous night and swung it over his shoulder, claiming, "I'll be back for the rest of my shit later."
The doctor couldn't help but be surprised by the provocative language he used, not to mention the quick kiss he had laid on her. Hazel turned to look at the younger female who said, "I apologize for my troll of a cousin. He has no manners. With him, anything goes."
