"Dante, I did what you asked. You finally got the results that you wanted," the brunette argued. He simply just didn't understand why the President was still punishing him. "We've succeeded in blending them into the blood line and it's barely been a month. I don't know what else there is for me to do, because I did what you asked, okay? She's pregnant, you win."

Dante Wallace regarded the young man carefully, not appreciating the tone he was using but the President understood they were harsh circumstances. The white-haired, old man watched as the male paced back and forth in his office. Beside him stood Cage, who was watching the scene with a scowl.

Theo Rinaldi had been his best friend since they were young, and it hurt Cage to see him in such distress. All the chef wanted was to be with the woman he loved, and he was being punished for being in love. It was cruel, even Cage thought so.

"I love her, Dante. You can't keep us apart," Theo's voice was strained as he looked from his leader to his best friend.

The President sighed, dismissing his son with the motion of his hand. "Cage, you know what to do."

The Head of Security took off, exiting the office and heading toward the elevators where someone was waiting for him. When it was just the President and Theo, the former sighed and stood up.

"You have done well, Theodore. I'm very thankful for the duty you have fulfilled, and I know it was a difficult one." The old man walked around his desk and came to a stop next to the chef. He placed a hand on his arm and said, "This is more than I originally asked, but I need things to say exactly as they are. You are to remain by Hazel's side like you so graciously have been doing."

Theo went to interrupt the older man but stopped when he heard the door open. The President allowed the chef to turn around as he said, "I recognize that you have completed your task, and I believe you deserve to be awarded for your hard work. So, as promised. . ."

Cage re-entered the room, but this time, he was not alone. The mocha-skinned doctor followed behind the Head of Security, locking eyes with the chef as soon as she entered the room.

"Please, do your best to control yourselves. I don't want this getting out," Dante said with a small smile. "You're free to go, but remember what I told you. Hazel needs to feel your support."

The couple reunited with a kiss, but before they left the office, Theo asked, "How much longer?"

The white-haired man paused, considering the question for a moment. He pursed his lips as he thought about his answer. Finally, he said, "Halfway through the third trimester, but please try to be as discreet as possible."

Theo Rinaldi grinned, wrapping his hands around the love of his life's waist before sweeping her out of the room.

Cage then turned to his father, smirking as he said, "If they're celebrating like I think they are, Hazel isn't going to be the only pregnant doctor for long."

Completely unaware of what had just taken place in the President's office, Hazel was gushing to her closest friends about how great the father of her baby had been to her. "He's been so attentive and caring. Just the other day, he practically set up a spa for me in my living quarters. And this morning, he made me breakfast in bed."

Beside her, Maya snorted. "Wow, it's like he's not even my cousin anymore. What have you done with the real Theo?"

Hazel only smiled, but jumped in surprise as she felt someone poke her stomach. Her immediate reaction was to hurt whoever dared touch her baby, but once she realized it was just Jasper, she relaxed. "Jas, what the hell are you doing?"
