Some time had passed since Pike's group returned from Trikru's camp, which was all anybody wanted to talk about. A few people had already come up to Hazel asking her for information about the massacre, but she was no help.

The dirty blonde felt extremely overwhelmed and out of focus, like she couldn't get a single competent word across during conversation because she was so distracted. Her best friend had left Arcadia with a whole group led by Jaha while she was in Mount Weather, and now Jaha has returned alone. What did that mean for Murphy? she wondered. It couldn't have been anything good, but what was Hazel to do about it? She could only hope that he was alive.

Her train of thought was broken as someone grabbed onto her shoulder. She looked up to see Kane, which was sort of a surprise. The relationship they had was not very personal since reuniting on the ground, not that it ever was on the Ark. Hazel always felt as if she could be easily discarded on the ground, but now that she served of more important use as a medic, he seemed to pay more attention to her. She would admit, however, that he seemed to have changed since joining the 100 on the ground—a change for the better. She would have voted for him in the election against Pike, but somehow missed the ballot. But the dirty blonde still felt like he was the same asshole he was on the Ark, and that his only redeeming quality was being in love with Abby. Kane just didn't know how to make a move on her. Hazel shuddered at the idea of it.

"Are you alright?" He asked with what seemed like genuine concern, but the dirty blonde couldn't be sure.

She gave a weak, awkward smile as she nodded her head, "Fine. Did you need something?"

It was clear the medic wasn't in the best mood, but Kane decided to put an extra effort into making sure she was alright. He took the seat across from her and grabbed her hand in a comforting way. "I'm sure Jaha's return has left you with some questions," he began, "especially about John Murphy. If there's anything I can help with, tell me."

Hazel wondered why the man was being so kind to her. Her guess was that it likely had something to do with Abby, but she appreciated it nonetheless. "Thank you, Kane, but that's not something you can help with. Only Jaha."

He nodded in agreement before continuing with the reason he wanted to speak with her in the first place. "I was wondering if you would be interested in helping me with something outside of Arcadia's walls..." Kane looked around cautiously as he spoke in a low voice, "Abby and Jackson can't do it, and I'm not sure if I could trust Skyla. So, that leads me to you."

"Ouch, fourth choice? Thanks." Hazel rolled her eyes and chuckled as she tried to lighten the mood. "What is it?"

"When I was in Polis, I gave Indra a radio, and after Pike's group returned, she signaled. I was hoping to send you and Octavia to meet with her—Abby and I have too many eyes on us at the moment, so it has to be someone else. I know that you are close with Bellamy but is this—"

The medic kicked Kane under the table to cut him off, which surprised him, but he was grateful when he understood why.

"What's going on here?"

Hazel picked at her nails while shaking her head, "Nothing that concerns you, Bellamy."

The curly haired brunette scoffed and looked away, running his hand over his jaw in annoyance. He didn't glance back as he began to walk away. The way things had been left when the curly haired brunette took off from Hazel's room to join Pike had put tension on their relationship once more. Bellamy did not intend to leave her in the dark, but everything happened so fast and he wasn't sure if he could trust Hazel yet.

When he was far enough away, but still in site, Kane decided, "Nevermind now that he's seen you with me. I'm sorry for putting you in this position. I would appreciate if you don't mention anything to him about what I've asked of you and Octavia."
