The sound of Theo's laughter echoed throughout the hall as the dirty blonde medic stomped off in front of him. After getting caught redhanded by Lorelei Tsing, he just couldn't contain himself. But while he found the situation funny, Hazel thought it was the worst thing that could've happened. She had practically died of shame and embarrassment when Dr. Tsing dismissed her from work just ten minutes before. Theo, however, bore a foxlike grin that hid the guilty look in his eyes.

Now, the couple was walking back to Hazel's living quarters. Well, at least the dirty blonde was and her boyfriend insisted on following after her. She was so upset about how reckless she had become at work and just wanted to be alone. But Theo wasn't having that.

"Babe, stop," he called out as he finally calmed down from his second or third laughing fit. "Wait up!" Seeing as she refused to slow her pace, Theo was forced to jog to keep up with her. Of course, that only made the girl move faster. "Hazel, come on. Don't be mad. Babe, slow down!"

He knew that the dirty blonde was seething, there was practically steam coming out of her ears, but that didn't stop him from grabbing onto her arm and yanking her back into his chest. Theo wrapped his arms around her and held her in place, which proved to be quite a struggle because Hazel was adamant on escaping his grasp. "Hey, talk to me."

The female blew out a puff of air that briefly pushed a piece of hair out of her eyes before it fell back into place. She squirmed once more against the older male but he had a tight hold on her. It seemed at that point, escaping was impossible.

Theo started mumbling some soothing words into her ear, giving her no choice but to relax into his chest and listen to his raspy voice as his hot breath swarmed her ear and neck. When she had completely given in to his warm embrace, Theo opened his mouth and said, "I just did all that work to relieve your stress, am I gonna have to do that again or are you gonna be good?"

Hazel jabbed her elbow into his side just as he started laughing and pushed away from him. "I hate you," she grumbled before continuing to stomp off toward her living quarters.

She knew he was following her because she could hear him chuckling under his breath and his footsteps were extremely heavy. That made Hazel smile, but that smile was quick to fade as the memory of walking through the forests and being shushed by a shaggy-haired tracker came to mind.

When the dirty blonde finally made it to her door, she noticed someone standing outside of it. Hazel glanced back at her boyfriend before turning back to his cousin and asking, "Maya? What are you doing here?"

The pale-skinned teen rocked back and forth on her heels, her eyes flickering between Hazel and Theo anxiously. Maya seemed nervous, but instead of explaining why, she asked, "Is everything okay with you two? I heard you from down the hall. . . and I wasn't sure if. . ."

"Everything's fine, little cuz. Nothing for you to be worrying about," came Theo's automatic reply as he threw a defensive arm over his girlfriend's shoulders. While the dirty blonde stiffened, he pretended not to notice. The chef seemed to not understand why Hazel was upset and that bothered her immensely.

When Maya looked to her friend for confirmation, the medic nodded with a closed-lip smile. "Yep, we're good. But what's with you lingering outside my door, huh? I didn't know we had plans, not that I'm not happy to see you. I could definitely use some girl time." The dirty blonde shrugged her boyfriend's arm off of her as she made a move to unlock her door.

Maya shook her head, her fingers playing with the hem of her knee length dress as she gave her cousin a piercing glare. When he didn't get the memo that he was unwanted, she sighed. "We didn't have plans, but. . . I was wondering if there was any news about one of your patients."
