William's POV

"Will?", A voice from behind me said as I turned to the head of the dance committee.

"Yes", I answered.
"We've chosen a theme for the Winter Formal this weekend, it's "A Cinderella Story". I was wondering if I could nominate you as one of the running contestants. So far we have, Anne. Sean. Luke. Brittany, and Alexandra", the voice said.

"Alexandra as in Alexandra Leighton?", I asked, even her name excited me. I didn't know why she wouldn't forgive me.

I mean I get it.
I hurt her.
But I swore to myself I'd never do anything like that again. Not for Anne. Not for my mother.

I loved her.
I knew she loved me too.
So why couldn't she just admit that to herself.

"Yes. Alexandra Leighton", she said.
"How did she get nominated? Did you put her on there.", I asked in confusion knowing not of a lot people likes her.

"No. Sir. People began voting for her after she left. She has the highest percentage out of all the contestants. Anne is at 70%. Jessica is 23%, Sean is 64%. Luke is 10%. You are 89%. And Alex is 93%", she said looking at her iPad.

I was surprised.

"Are those the real votes? No one tempered with it. Right?", I asked.

"Yes. This is all 100% real. You never answered my question?", She said.

"Yes. You can add me to the list", I said.
"Do you have a place in mind where we can hold the Winter Formal?", She asked me as I walked to my locker.

"The City Hall Ballroom. Make sure the king and queen as a special dance", I said.

"Yes. Sir", she said.
"Have a nice day.", I said.

Being headmaster had the be most stressful thing ever. As I pulled my books out, I closed the locker to see Anne leaning against the other locker, twisting her hair as if she was waiting for me.

"hey", she said.
"Hi", I said.
"So... The Winter Formal is this Saturday, you going?", She asked.

"Going? I'm planning it, and I'm headmasters so I have to go", I said.
"Oh my gosh. Your so funny", she said making it look like we were actually talking about something important.

"Okay. I'm going to class now", I said turning around.
"Wait", she said getting in front of me.

"Your mother and I agreed for you to take me to the Winter Formal. So, I guess I'm your date? Besides it'd be a perfect time to announce us getting back together", she said.

She was honestly delusional.
I was tired of taking shit from both her and my damn mother.

"Anne, what don't you understand. I don't want to go back out with you. I'm in love with Alex. Okay. So forget us even being a thing.", I said harshly.

"Why are you still stuck on that girl? She doesn't deserve. You and her don't belong together. She's poor.", She said.

"You are never going to be enough for me. Alex is everything I need", I said.

She gasped.
"You know what.. forget you.. I don't even know what I saw in you, in the first place", she said.

"My wallet", I said walking off. I turned down the hallway, to see Sophie, who noticed me, and turned around.

I catched up to her.
"Wait", I said grabbing her.
"What do you want?", She asked.
"I need to talk to Alex", I said.

"So do I, but she hasn't talked to any of us since the day you came by. If she decides to talk to you, that's on her.", She said.
