William's POV
I walked back to the patio, to see Chuck and my mother having a conversation.
But no Kerri.
"Mother? Where'd Kerri go?", I asked.
"I don't know. But she looked upset", my mother said.
For what?
I turned around, going back into the house, turning the corner and going upstairs, towards my room.
I opened the door to hear sniffles.
I arched my brows in confusion.
I swallowed harshly, entering my room.
"Kerri?", I asked slowly walking inside.
I turned to realize she was faced down in my pillow, crying at the edge of my bed.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying?", I asked softening my voice.
"You still love her don't you?", She asked.
And automatically knew who she had to be talking about.
But instead of conforming, I played dumb.
"Who?", I asked touching her back.
She pulled away quickly.
Removing the pillow.
God, she was a ugly crier.
At least Alexandra was a pretty crier, I mean I wouldn't know.
"Alexandra", she wined.
I didn't know what to say or how to actually answer.
"Every girl in Oakham throws themselves at you; but for some odd reason— you continuously keep choosing her. What's so special about her. Why do you love her and not me?", she raised her voice.
"Lower your voice", was all I could say.
"Why? You don't want everyone to know?", Kerri asked really trying it and me.
"Kerri", I say.
"Don't kerri me. How could you just stand here and act like you love me when you clearly don't", she says having a very good point.
"I do. I do love you, Kerri", I say softening my voice.
"Not like how you love her. You love Alexandra differently than you love me. And maybe it's because she's carrying your child- or maybe it's because she has a piece of your heart that no else can get. But the truth is, you will never be able to love someone as much as you love her", she said having a good point.
"Your right. And I'm sorry that things had to turn out this way", I say.
"It's okay. It's better this way.", she says grabbing her bag with her items inside of it, walking towards me.
"Do right by her, William. She loves you- a lot", she says referring to Alexandra. As she kissed my cheek and walked out the room.
Alexandra's POV
"How's your foot?", Luke asked.
"It's fine. I mean I'm fine.", I say.
"Alexandra? Ms.Henry has requested for you in her office", Tim say.
I got up, making me out of the family room following Tim.
As he opened the door, I walked inside.
I sighed.
What does she want now.
"Alexandra, please", she said motioning for me to sit.
I slowly sat down.
"You wanted to see me?", I asked her cross my my arms.
"I wanted to y'all to you- about my grandchild", she said.
I rolled my eyes, "didn't I tell you already- My child is not living her with— she cut me off, "I also wanted you to live here with the child", she says.
I froze.
"What?", I asked trying to process.
"It's much easier this way. The baby's mother and father in the same house together. You could move in this week, and when the baby is born you have the choice to either stay or leave", she said.
"What about my dorm? With my girls?", I asked.
"They can come and visit you whenever you want", she said.
"I don't understand", I say.
"Your apart of this family now, Alexandra", she said so professionally.
"And that's means I have to move in with you people", I asked.
"People?", she asked.
"All due respect, Ms. Henry. I am nothing like you guys— you said that yourself", I say.
"Look", she said sighing.
"I'm really trying to be the good guy, here. Which is hard to me because you and I have multiple complications in the past", she said.
"You mean literally a week ago?", I asked her.
"And I want to apologize for that.", she said.
"For what? Because I'm pregnant. Please don't feel sorry for me. I don't need your kindness especially when I'm not asking for it", I sassed.
"What you fail to realize is that since your important to my son, you are most important to me. I care about you because I want too. Besides— my husband likes you as well and so does his son", she says.
"What does any of that have to do with me?", I asked her.
"William— loves you", she hesitated.
"Well- I wish you could've of accepted that when him and I was actually together— not a weeks later, when I'm knocked up carrying his child", I say harshly standing up.
"Thanks for the offer but I'll have to pass", I say walking out the room.
