Alexandra's POV

"What the hell are you doing here?", Victoria asked me once again.

"I came to speak to your son", I say not being specific.
"Your real one", I added, correcting myself.

"About?", She asked.
"That discussion is between your son and I", I said harshly.

"And who might this feisty young lady be?", the man standing behind Victoria asked.

"Father, this is William's ex-girlfriend, Alexandra", Luke said introducing his father and I.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr.James", I said shaking his hand.

"call me chuck", he said slightly smiling.
Victoria evilly eyed me.

"Alexandra; why didn't you call?", William asked.

"I thought it'd be better if I'd come see you in person, because we really need to talk, it's important", I say.

"How about you stay for dinner, Alexandra", Chuck said.

"Uh— Thanks but I really just came to talk to William. Besides, I don't want to intrude on anything", I say.

"Nonsense; besides it would be a great way for Luke to get to understand the town of Oakham", He said.

Awe.
This poor man was so sweet.
So why'd he have to marry the wicked witch of the west.

I turned to William, whose expression was confused, then to Luke, who was smiling down at me.

"I-don't see why not", I say.

-

"Dinner- was amazing; but I really have to speak to William, excuse me", I say after wiping my mouth, getting up from the table and mentioning Will and I go somewhere private to speak.

I walked into his mothers office, he followed and I closed the door.
I sighed in relief.

"What's up with you? You've been quiet since you've entered the house", he said.

He hesitated before answering.
"What we're doing that whole time waiting for me?", he asked.

"What?", I asked.
"Just— Answer the question, Alex", he said so seriously.

"I was-talking. Why?", I asked.
"Don't lie to me", he said.

"I'm-I'm not. I was talking to Luke. Why the hell are you acting like this?", I asked.

"Because I don't trust him.", he said.
"Clearly you don't trust me either. Do you honestly think I'd ever do something like that to you?", I asked crossing my arms.

"You did it before", he said.
I arched my eyebrows, "We both slept with someone else", I say.

"And look at where that's got us?", he asked.
"You dick", I say.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean that", he said.
"Yes, you did", I say.

What the hell was his problem.

"What did he tell you?", he asked me.
"William, this isn't about your brother, okay. I came here to actually tell you something", I say.

"What did he tell you, Alex?", he asked asking again.

I snapped.
"The truth. You failed to mention you had a step-brother, and also that Anne was never your girlfriend in the first place", I said.

He looked away.
"There's a lot about me that you don't know and you don't need to know. That's why I didn't tell you because look at how your acting right now", he said.
