"Angel where are you? If you're not here in 20 minutes I'm going to kill you." I hissed into my phone before stuffing it back into my pocket. Angel was supposed to meet me at the front of the school over 10 minutes ago. I was pretty positive she wasn't going to show, but I waited anyway. She had the keys to get in, which she stole from her mom who's a teacher, and I really needed to get in. I had left my bag in my locker, and I needed it. I groaned as I realized she probably got held up at work or something, and when I was about to walk away a voice made me freeze in my spot.
"What are you doing here so late?"
I knew who it was even before I turned around by that awful smell. I turned around slowly, coming face to face with nobody other than Nathan Black himself.
"I could ask you the same thing" I smirked, crossing my arms. He rolled his eyes and walked towards the door, pulling out a bobypin.
"It's not any of your business." He muttered, picking the lock. Wow, this school was really unprotected. "Do you need in?" He asked, holding the door open. I nodded and walked in quickly, him following behind me. I walked to my locker, which was two halls over, Nathan following me.
"You don't have to babysit me, you know. I'm perfectly capable of grabbing my own-" I shut my locker and turned around, stopping mid sentence as I realized just how close Nathan was to me. I could practically feel his breath on my face. His eyes were bloodshot red, as to be expected. "Bag" I whispered, glancing down at his lips. He smirked, and stepped a little closer.
"I bet you're thinking of kissing me." He said lowly, glancing down at mine as well. I licked my lips, and smiled leaning closer to him.
"Not as much as you're thinking of kissing me." I whispered in his ear before sliding past him. He stood still, surprised, before quickly regaining his composure. He chuckled and shook his head. Just then there was a noise at the end of the hall. We both looked over quickly, but there was nobody there.
"Did you hear that?" I asked, stepping closer to him. I looked around nervously. If we were caught in here we could get in serious trouble for breaking in.
"I'm right next to you of course I heard it." Nathan rolled his eyes, walking towards the noise. I followed closely behind him, using him as a shield in case something happened. We turned the corner, and there was another noise, only this time it was louder than before. I suddenly felt like I was being watched, I looked around but there was nobody except me and Nathan. "There's nobody here-" just as Nathan said that, somebody jumped out of nowhere and started screaming. I started screaming to, and instinctively grabbed onto Nathan tightly.
"What the fuck" Nathan spat as the person started to laugh, and that's when I realized it was Jason and Kyle.
"Dude" Kyle laughed "You should have saw your face!""Bro you were so scared, we totally got you!" Jason shook his head, standing up as he walked over to us with Kyle. "What are you doing here?" He frowned at me, looking down at my hand holding tightly onto Nathan's. I quickly let go and stepped away, biting my lip.
"Did you bring her here? Nathan you know-"
"Shut up" Nathan snapped, stopping Kyle from saying whatever he was going to say, "She was already here. She just needed to get her bag, she's leaving now." He looked at me, as if ordering me to leave without a word. I scoffed and turned around, walking away without a word. As I was walking to my car, a voice called my name. I turned around to see Jason jogged towards me.
"What, Jason?" I asked, kind of annoyed. He caught up with me and grabbed my arm lightly.
"You shouldn't come to school after dark." He told me, looking around the parking lot.
"Not that it's any of your business, but unlike you and your friends, I don't. I just forgot my bag and needed to grab it." I told him, before glancing at the entrance of the school. "What are you guys doing here anyway?" I tilted my head to the side and looked at him.
"Nothing, just don't come back, okay?" With that he turned around and left, walking back into the school. I rolled my eyes and got into my car, driving away. I reached into my pocket for my phone but it wasn't there.
"Shit" I muttered, realizing I probably dropped it whenever Jason and Kyle scared me. I decided to just go home, in hopes that one of them found it and would return it. It had a password so they couldn't get into it, so I was safe. Once I got home I changed into shorts and an oversized sweater, putting my hair into a bun. I laid down on the couch, turning on Pretty Little Liars. This was probably my favorite show so far, I love how mysterious everything is.
I woke up to my t.v turned off, and a blanket wrapped around me. I frowned, not remembering having a blanket on before I fell asleep. I looked at my coffee table, and my phone was sitting there with a note.
Found your phone, thought you might want it. By the way, you probably shouldn't leave your password as '1234' Goodnight penguin. ;)
- NathanI scoffed, grabbing my phone and unlocking it. The first thing I saw was a video of Nathan, eating pizza. How can he look so hot eating a freaking pizza? I laughed and rolled my eyes, putting my phone back down. In like the spam of 24 hours, Nathan suddenly doesn't hate me. It's kind of weird, but also kind of...comforting? The fact that he changed so much in such a little time is really strange, but I kind of like how he's not so rude and disrespectful to me now, well not as much as before at least.
