I avoided Amber for the rest of the week, at lunch I just go to the dance room to practice. I just didn't want to be around her. I felt mad that she didn't tell me about her and Nathan. It wasn't like I even cared that she use to be with him, it's history. Plus, him and I aren't together so there's no reason for her to try and hide it. When I saw her in the halls I would just act like I didn't see her, and quickly walk away, and in class I'd always act like I'm readying something important, or something else. It felt like she didn't trust me, and I've never gave her a reason not to. Plus everytime I bring Nathan up she gets annoyed and rude, and I will not let her snap at me one more time about him when she's been lying to my face about him our whole friendship. Honestly the whole thing is just ridiculous.

"So this is where you hide out." A voice said. I sighed and stopped stretching. Ive been caught.

"What do you want?"

"To talk." Nat walked into the room, sitting on one of the chairs in the corner.

"So talk." I shrugged, grabbing my bottle of water.

"Why have you been skipping out on lunch? And don't even think Amber doesn't know you're avoiding her because she knows and she's upset."

I rolled my eyes and continued to stretch. The fact that none of the girls had enough balls to tell me what went down between Amber and Nathan made me furious.

"Well then why are you here and not Amber? Now if you excuse me, I have to go." I muttered, grabbing my bag and walking out. I decided to just skip the rest of the day and go home. My mom is coming back today and I want to make sure everything is okay before she gets home. On my way home, I stopped at a little coffee shop for some hot chocolate. I always come to this place after school, its really cute and nobody comes here a lot. I was sitting down reading a book when the waitress walked over, placing a cute penguin cupcake in front of me.

"I was told to give this to you." She smiled before walking away. I pushed the plate away and continued to read. When I was done with my hot chocolate, I left a $5 tip before walking out to my car.

"You didn't eat the cupcake." A voice said, and I turned to see Nathan walking towards my car. "You didn't eat lunch at school either, but then again I never see you eat at school, or at all." He tilted his head to the side, studying me.

"Shouldn't you be at school?"

"Shouldn't you?"

"Touché." I rolled my eyes and got my keys, unlocking my car. "What do you want, Nathan?"

"Are you starving yourself?" He asked me.

"How dare you ask me that" I snapped, slamming my door shut and storming towards him. "I am not starving myself, I eat just fine actually!" I got defensive really quick, and he didn't seem to be surprised. He just laughed as if it were the funniest thing in the world.

"Then eat this whole cupcake." He challenged, handing me an oversized cupcake. I grabbed the cupcake and smashed it into his face, smirking before turning around and getting in my car, speeding off.  When I got to my loft, I realized that Amber was standing by my door, waiting for me. I rolled my eyes and unlocked it, walking in.

"What do you want Amber? I'm really not in the mood for you to sit around acting like you haven't been hiding something from me." I snapped, throwing my bag on the couch.

"Fine, I have been. But its only because I didn't feel comfortable telling you because it makes me uncomfortable talking about it." She defended, sitting down on my barstool. "Nathan and I use to date, we dated for 3 years but then I cheated on him with someone and he became who he is today." She said, looking away from me.
