I was sitting on my couch, watching AHS with Amber when my phone rang. I looked at the screen to see that it was Agent Luther. I frowned and stood up, walking to the kitchen. I haven't heard from them since they came to my loft to talk about Carter.
"Hello?"
"Miss. Walker, this is Agent vane. I need you to act normal, as if you're on the phone with a friend. Alright?"
"O-okay." I stuttered, confused as to what was going on.
"Good, now are you at your apartment? And are you alone?" He asked. I looked over at Amber who had paused the show and was now looking at me weirdly.
"Yeah i'm at home with Amber."
"Is she a friend of yours, are you safe?"
"Yes."
"We need you to come down to the station right away, but we need you to come with someone. Do you have someone you're comfortable with bringing? You can't be alone at any point."
"Alright, i'll be there in a few." With that I hung up and turned back around to face Amber. She got up and walked over to me, asking what was going on.
"Nathan needs a ride somewhere, you can stay here and i'll be back in a bit, alright?" I asked her and she nodded, going back to watch the show. I grabbed my keys and walked out and across the hall to Nathans apartment. I knocked on the door and after a few moments he opened it.
"Hey- babe whats wrong?" He asked once he saw the look on my face. I was honestly really scared of what might be happening. I knew this had something to do with Carter. What if he was still alive? What if he was after me? Is it to late to change my identity and move to Canada?
"I-I need you to go somewhere with me, please?" I asked him, my hands were shaking and he nodded, grabbing his keys and walking out the door, locking it. We walked down to the lobby in silence. Once we got to my car I pulled out the parking lot and sped off, making sure I wasn't being followed.
"Katherine whats going on?" Nathan asked me, looking at me with a look of confusion.
"I-I don't know." I said as I turned into the police station. I explained to Nathan what happened as I got out the car and walked inside, Nathan following. When I told the receptionist who I was and what I was here for she led me to an interrogation room and I was told to wait for the agents. Nathan had to wait outside, as they wouldn't allow him in the room. After a few minutes the door opened and Agent Luther and Agent Vane walked in, sitting in front of me.
"What is this about?" I asked uneasily. The two agents glanced at each other before answering.
"Miss. Walker we believe that you're in danger." Agent Luther said.
"The last time we talked you mentioned Carter leaving a note threatening you at prom, is that correct?" Agent Vane asked, studying me. I nodded, confused as to why they were asking me about the note. "Why didn't you report the note to the authorities? Why did you allow yourself to get threatened?" I looked at him surprised, I hadn't expected him to ask me that. It was like he thought I wanted to be attacked. I narrowed my eyes at him, leaning forward.
"You have a report on what happened between Carter and I, which means you know about the abuse I endured from him, and what he did to my family. What you don't know is what happened after my brothers funeral, you don't know about the months I spent watching my father and Mother tear themselves apart, watching my mother try to kill herself. My mother will never be able to live a normal life, she takes pills to survive, and without them she could die at any moment. Carter did that. When I found out Carter was out- and he was here- I wanted to go to the police, but I couldn't. They would have got my mother involved, and I could't let that happen. It would have broke her to know he was back in my life. And as far as i'm concerned my mothers safety is more important than my own." I said glaring at the agent.
