I crumbled the piece of paper and threw it at the wall. The teacher scoffed and shook her head at me before walking out. I grabbed my bag and followed her out, walking to the lunch room where everyone was waiting for me. This day honestly couldn't get any worse.

"Miss. Walker?" My teacher called out and I turned around, giving her a look of annoyance. "You have a week to bring me the video or I'll go to someone else. Don't miss this opportunity, it can get you into a great college." She mentioned before giving me a silent nod and walking away.

"What was that about? You look pretty irritated." Jason asked as I sat down beside him. Nathan handed me half of his sandwich and I shook my head, handing it back.

"I can't eat right now." I muttered, running a hand through my hair. "Your aunt is fucking crazy."

"Why?" Amber asked, sitting beside Nathan. I narrowed my eyes at her. There were other places to sit, why is she sitting next to him? Why do I even care?

"There's this thing where one ballerina from schools all over the world send in a video to try to win a scholarship to the best ballet school in the world. Your aunt just so happened to pick me for the job." I mumbled, grabbing Kyles cookie. He huffed and crossed his arms childishly.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Kevin asked, raising his eyebrows at me.

"No! She gave me one freaking week to make the video, and I have no partner." I took a bite of the cookie before handing it back to Kyle, who handed it to Nathan with a grimace on his face. Nathan shrugged and put the whole cookie in his mouth.

"I can be your partner. I took ballet classes with Nathan's aunt until I was 16." Kyle shrugged, taking Ambers cookie from her tray. She slapped the back of his head and snatched her cookie back.

"Really? Are you good?" I asked him hopefully, and he rolled his eyes.

"Duh I'm good. I only stopped because it was too time consuming and made me look like a pussy."

"Uh, what kind of video is it going to be?" Nathan cleared his throat, looking uncomfortable with the fact that Kyle might be dancing with me.

"Romance." I smirked, and Nathan narrowed his eyes at me.

"I don't think Kyle's the man for the job."

"Hey! I'm good at what I do- or use to do." Kyle defended, rolling his eyes.

"I'll do it. I'm better than Kyle anyway, and if you want the scholarship then you need the best." Nathan commented nonchalantly. I don't actually need the scholarship, but it'd be nice to have.

"Since when do you dance?" I said flatly.

"Nathan's a really good dancer, actually. He won the scholarship freshman year but didn't take it. He was the first, and only, freshman to win." Jason told me proudly.

"Why the hell didn't you take it?" I asked.

"I don't want to go to school for ballet." He shrugged, standing up. "I'll meet you at the studio at 5. Don't be late." He muttered before walking away.

"If he's not good I'm chopping you into tiny pieces." I mumbled to Jason, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Are you okay?" He asked, scooting closer and putting his arm around me.

"Yeah, I'm just really tired." I snuggled closer to him. Being friends with Jason has become my greatest blessing. He's honestly the best friend anyone could have. It kind of sucks that we don't see each other romantically, because I bet we'd make a killer couple. It'd definitely be one for the books. "Can you take me home?" I asked Jason, remembering that I didn't drive today.
