Kyle

The door opened and I looked up to see who it was. Max walked towards me, a look of confusion and pity on his face.

"What is it, Max?" I asked, setting the book I was reading down. The house was quiet, Kat hadn't come down for breakfast yet so I had sent Max to see if she was alright.

"Sir I think there's something wrong with Miss. Walker.. Perhaps you should go and see her." He cleared his throat, standing in front of me awkwardly. I frowned and stood up quickly, rushing upstairs to Katherine's room. I knocked and there was no answer, so I opened the door and walked in. She wasn't in bed, so I looked around confused until I heard a sniff coming from the closet. I frowned and walked towards the closet. My eyes widened as I saw her, sitting in the back of the closet with her knees pulled to her chest and tears running down her face with snot noticeable on her nose, threatening to drip out. I grabbed the box of tissues that was on the desk by the closet and quickly bent down in front of her, grabbing a tissue and whipping her snot away. She didn't move, or speak, She just shook in her spot, her eyes staring straight ahead at the wall.

"Katherine...are you okay?" I asked cautiously, laying my hands on the floor to balance myself. She didn't answer, she just looked at me. Her eyes held so much so sadness, so much fear. I didn't know how to help her, I didn't even know what was wrong with her. I sighed and stood up, grabbing my phone and dialing Nathans number.

"Hello?" He picked up on the second ring, his voice sounded raspy, like he had just woke up.

"Nathan I need you to come over, its Katherine." I muttered, running a hand through my hair as I turned around to look at her. Nathan told me he would be over in a little before he hung up. I walked back over to Kat and sat in front of her, not saying anything.

"Where is she?" I heard his voice before I saw him. I stood up quickly and walked out the closet. He rushed over, kneeling in front of her. "Oh penguin.." He whispered, rubbing her head. The moment she looked at him she threw herself into his arms, loud sobs coming from her mouth as she held onto him. He sat on the floor and pulled her into his lap, rubbing her back as she cried. I sighed and walked out, back into the kitchen where Jason was.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked him, grabbing a bottle of water and sitting across from him. He nodded towards the hall, signalling that he had came with Nathan.

"How is she?" He asked me, a look of concern on his face. I shook my head, running my hand down my face.

"Not good. Max told me shes been sleeping in the closet since she arrived. This is her first time doing this, though." I told him. "I've never seen anyone look so.. broken."

"How are you doing with all of this? It must bring up memories.." Jason trailed off, taking a sip from his cup. I looked down at my hands, fiddling with my thumbs.

"I'm cool, its not my time to be sad anymore." I shrugged. Thinking about my mom was something I didn't like to do. Its been years, ive moved past her death. "What about you?" He shrugged and took another sip from his cup. Jason wasn't usually one to talk about his feelings- especially when it came to his sister. We were alike in that way.

Katherine

I woke up in my bed with Nathan laying beside me on his phone. I shifted my body causing him to realize I was awake. He looked down at me with a soft smile, kissing my forehead. I smiled up at him before sitting up into a seating position. I frowned and looked at him, tilting my head.

"I'm sorry you had to see my like that- again. I bet you wish you never got involved with me." I muttered. Nathan must have been getting tired of me, of always having to hold me while I cry and help me through my breakdowns.

"Hey hey hey, don't apologize. I'll always be here for you. Its what boyfriends do." He smirked, grabbing my hand and kissing it. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world." He whispered, cupping my face and placing a soft passionate kiss on my lips. I smiled. Being around Nathan always made me feel safe, and at home. There's nobody in the world that I love more than him. Nobody.

"I love you.." I mumbled, looking down at my hands before looking back at him, bitting my lip.

"What did you just say?" He asked, looking at me with wide eyes. A grin made its way onto his face as I said it again, and his eyes shone with excitement.

"I love you too penguin, oh my God I love you so much." He grinned, planting kisses all over my face. I giggled and pushed him away playfully.

"Lets go get some food, i'm hungry!" I said, jumping out of bed. I was incredibly thankful that Nathan hadn't brought up the incident that happened earlier. I didn't want to talk about it, I didn't even want to think about it. We walked into the kitchen where Kyle was with Jason. They had apparently just got back with food.

"hmm is that tacos?" I asked excitedly, sitting beside Jason. He chuckled and nodded his head, handing me a bag.

"I got you and Nathan yalls usual. Oh and my mom said that we have to go to school tomorrow or she'll come whoop all our asses."

"Sucks for yall." I smirked, biting into my taco.  Her rules didn't apply to me, I wasn't family to her so she probably didn't care for me.

"Oh she means you too." Jason smirked back and my face fell. Huh, I guess her rules do apply to me. I didn't want to go back to school, that place was a nightmare. I looked at Nathan who was talking to Jason about something, I couldn't hear what they were saying. I sighed and looked down at my taco, suddenly not hungry anymore. I glanced at the boys and none of them were paying attention to me so I quickly threw my taco away.

"Well i'm done." I announced, standing up and throwing my trash away. Nathan smiled at me, having no idea that I didn't actually eat. "I'm going over to Nat's house, shes waiting outside for me with Amber." I told him, leaning down and kissing his cheek. I grabbed Nathans hoodie and slipped it on before walking out the house and to the gate. I suddenly remembered I didn't know the password to open it, so I simply climbed over it, ripping my pants in the process. I finally got over and got into the car, being greeted by the girls.

"I for sure thought that Nathan wasn't going to let you out." Amber said as Nat drove away. I scoffed at her, rolling my eyes.

"I'm my own person, Amber. I do what I want." I smirked. We got to Nat's house and went straight out to her pool. Nobody was home, she had the house to herself all week. Amber brought out 3 bottles of vodka and smirked while Nat put on some music.

"So, hows dating Nathan going?" Nat asked, grabbing the bottle and taking a swig. I shrugged, taking a gulp out of the other bottle.

"Hes like my home, honestly." I smiled thinking about him, "I don't know how I got so lucky to have him." I'm absolutely without a doubt madly in love with Nathan. Nobody could change my mind about that. He is my whole world.

"You guys are so cute!" Amber gushed, grabbing the bottle from my hand.

"I cheated on Kevin." Nat suddenly blurted out, looking at the pool. She got up and jumped in, staying under the water. For a second I wasn't sure she was going to come back up, until she did. She gasped for air, pushing her hair out of her face.

"What? When, Why?" Amber asked frantically, her eyes wide in surprise. I was surprised too, but I didn't freak out like Amber. I got up and got in the pool too, Amber following.

"I had sex with Jen at a party." Nat mumbled, taking a long swig from the bottle. I widened my eyes in surprise and splashed her.

"How was it?" I smirked, and Nat let out a big breath.

"It was fucking amazing, like everything I was ever missing. The things she did with her tongue, wow." She swam backwards, floating in the water.

"Does Kevin know?" Amber asked, taking off her wet shirt and throwing it on the side of the pool. "He'll be so upset."

"No, I don't know how to tell him.." Nat had a guilty look on her face, and I sighed swimming towards her. "So are you like gay now?" I asked her, grabbing the bottle from the side of the pool. She shrugged and took another drink, her face scrunching up in disgust. I laughed and shook my head, swimming away with the bottle in my hand.
