"No, Joe, no!" I shook my head slowly, making sure this beautiful creature understand. "Don't lick me! Don't lick me!"

But, of course, the infamous Joe never listened to people. He licked my face like it was the tastiest hay he ever ate in his life.

"Joe!" I yelped in surprise, immediately taking some steps back, away from the animal who was now smirking slightly at me. He managed to chew the delicious hay under his nose in a relaxed manner after licking my face clean from the hard-working sweat.

A thundering sound of laughter roared in the barn air, making my head snap directly to the source. The dark-haired man who managed to slowly monopolize most of the part of my mind in these three weeks was laughing like he never laughed in his previous life. His eyelids hid his signature blue orbs so well as he threw his head back in glee. The fine wrinkles under his eyes made him a lot older than he was, but at the same time granted him with a younger, carefree look.

"That's not funny!" I scowled as my hands made their way to my face to feel the sticky texture on my skin.

His laughter died down eventually as he opened those eyelids to meet my eye. A soft smile slowly painted his well-sculpted face. "Well, Joe loves you, and so do the gentlemen in this barn." His eyes twinkled in amusement and something I could not decipher. His figure became closer and closer, bringing my nose to a new sensation of a pleasant smell.

Once his smell was intoxicating enough for engulfing my body completely, he stretched out his right hand and softly padded my face with something like a handkerchief. My eye widened as a saucer as I trailed my gaze from his shirt that hugged his body perfectly to those beautiful striking blue eyes that had my emotion caged in their beauty. I could practically hear the loud beat of my heart like a hummingbird beating its wings.

"You did a good job managing your issue, you know?" he said softly, lulling me to a beautiful daydream with tons of unicorns on the sky.

I chuckled softly, attempting so hard to hide the shiver that started possessing my body. "Well, the gentlemen here helped me a lot." It was true, though. His crazy 'therapy' to help me ease out when I talked to the opposite sex really worked well. I spent these three whole weeks talking to the cows, horses, sheep, pigs, roosters, and ducks, telling them my chest full of broken feelings and disappointments. Surprisingly, they listened so well. There were glints in their doe eyes, signaling that they completely understood my position.

And, in my telltale moments with those gentlemen, I always found Duncan staring at me intensely. He always stood in the blind spot of my eye, but the burning sensation on my back was enough to make my heart leaped frantically in the air. And, slowly, he started crawling up to my mind and, most importantly, my heart.

He would greet me in the earliest of the dawn in 'The Magical Home' with his megawatt smile that could wake the sun up even in the middle of the night.
