Dear Nana in heaven, am I dreaming right now? Killian and I are mates? Did you pester Moon Goddess to match him with me? Nana, I hope you're not giving Moon Goddess a headache because of your preaching.

I was having a hard time in digesting what actually happened to me in the mere two minutes. After I realized that Killian was my other half, I ran away from the flabbergasted Killian and the loud, cheering crowd that were still singing 'happy birthday' song, being clueless about the tension between me and him. I needed to calm myself down.

It was true that I was having trouble in finding my mate because of the absence of my wolf. But, the way my body reacted to him at that time was so convincing. It was like the deepest part of my heart whispered to me that he was the one for me.

I could hear my heart beating so fast that I was afraid it would jump out from my chest and do a complete somersault in the middle of the kitchen. My smile could not go wider anymore. I could not believe what fate had brought me to. The one who had always been on my mind... The one who always appeared in my wildest dreams... The one whom my heart always called out...

... was my mate!

Thank you, Moon Goddess! Thank you for giving me a chance in love.

I felt like my heart bursting into some pops of happiness now that I fo-

"Heidi."

A shiver ran down my spine as the husky voice called my name. I turned around, and there he was, standing so handsomely with both of his hands on his pockets. It should be illegal for him to be so devilishly handsome without even trying at all.

I lowered my gaze to the ground, suddenly feeling shy now that we knew we were mates. I gulped down my saliva and gave him my warm smile.

"Yes, Young Alpha?"

His eyes penetrated to my soul as he spoke ever so lowly, "Come with me." Then, he turned around and disappeared from the door.

I followed him silently, ascending the grand stairs in his house, and came to a familiar black door. He opened it and asked me to come inside.

I looked around the room nostalgically. I had not come to this room for a long time, and it was still the same. His obsession towards black and white color reflected on the room, a harmonious duet. The king-sized bed with white bed linen stood proudly in the room. Some old photos of Alpha Mason's little family decorated the light grey wall, from his toothless smile until his megawatt smile.

He still could make girls swooning even with his toothless smile.

The sound of door being slammed shut woke me up from my daze. I turned around to take a glance at my so-called mate who was now staring at me with unreadable expression. I lowered my gaze, smiling shyly at the white floor. I heard his footsteps coming near and near until he was towering me with his height. His dark chocolate scent invaded my nose in a pleasant way, caressing my skin slowly.
