"T. Bell! C'mon, that was all yours!" I grunted in response and saw Joey goal. I groaned, wiping the sweat from my forehead. We had been practicing floor hockey for the last two hours and I was exhausted! Ohmygosh, my calves and ankles were starting to kill me. I was nowhere close to understanding why people played hockey for fun, let alone for a competitive sport. I mean, sure, it looks cool as hell on the actual rink and the guys are hot, but it's tough playing. Hell, I wasn't even on the ice and I was complaining!

"This is so absurd!" I muttered under my breath. I picked up my stick and started running after the guys. I felt like I was the only one who was huffing and puffing out there. Tonight will be so much worse, I couldn't help but think. I was sweating up a storm already. It felt like my pores were dams and the sweat broke through. One look at Dexter made me want to cry. Thanks to all the sports he had played he didn't even seem to break a sweat.

"Pick it up, T. Bell!" Wyatt, the active who was a contact for me, yelled. I groaned and ran as fast as my ass could muster, trying hard to keep up with the actual game. Even Wade was keeping up better than me, and I had played more sports than him! I hated the way that men were still at an advantage for things like this.

This went on for what seemed like hours, but I guess it was only forty-five minutes. The guys seemed really pumped for the game and I think we had what it takes to dominate and win these Pledge Games once and for all.

"Alright, I think that's enough practice! Let's head back to the house for a short break before we have to head on out," John announced. I sighed in relief as a weight lifted off my shoulders. I felt energy pump through my veins as we all started to head back to the house. We mostly talked amongst ourselves on the journey back. There was a pep in my step as I entered over the threshold and towards the couch.

"Can we just forfeit?" I groaned as I laid down on the couch. I was so exhausted.

"Dude! We came this far! We gotta try!" Peter encouraged. Easy for him to say! The high school track star! I hadn't noticed until today he had a tattoo of Jesus on his shoulder blade. He was able to push his black hair back with ease because of the layer of sweat.

"Yeah, T. Bell, no being lazy," Eric said. I stuck my tongue out at him. He rolled his dark brown eyes and his short blonde hair was spiked up. I didn't really ever talk to Eric, all I really knew about him was that he used to play football in high school, but other than that, really nothing. I think after the games ended I was going to focus on getting to know the other guys. I mean, after all they are in my pledge class and I might as well be friends with them. Being friends with Silver and Vald wasn't enough. I needed to get to know the rest of the guys.

"I agree though, like it sucks dick how hot it'll be during the game," Wade agreed with me, giving his two cents. I couldn't help but smile at the nerdy ginger. His green eyes met mine and I grinned.

"Pledges, get your shit, we're going to head out to the game, it's almost time for the opening face off," Brick, I learned his real name was Beau, announced walking into the room. His name, Beau, certainly was true when you look at his face. His jawline was sharp, and a few freckles were sprinkled across his tanned skin. He had longer brown hair to the top of his shoulders and menacing brown eyes. I would have been scared of him, but he wasn't as scary as he looked. All the guys got up and started filing out of the room. I lingered a little longer and eventually followed behind them.

We were going to play the game on the indoor basketball court. I was somewhat happy that it wasn't ice hockey; that would have been a whole new level of embarrassment.

"Excited for the game?" Jonas asked, walking next to me. I kicked a rock across the cement.

"Not at all," I muttered under my breath. Jonas laughed loudly.
