Elena's POV:

I awoke at about 5:00pm. I didn't even notice that I fell asleep and I don't even remember being all that tired to take a nap.

Stefan wasn't next to me when I woke up.

He must of went home because I fell asleep. Stupid me. I could of stayed awake and could of spent more time with Stefan, which is what I wanted to do.

I got out of bed and went into the kitchen where I was then suprised at who I found standing there, over the stove, cooking.

Stefan.

''Well, somebody looks a little refreshed from her nap.'' He teased me, turning around from the stove and walking over to me, planting a kiss on my forehead.

I smiled.

''I went home for about an hour and then thought I could come back and suprise you with making you dinner. Jenna left about a few minutes ago with Jeremy to go shopping and shouldn't be back anything soon, looks like we have the house all to ourselves.'' He said.

''You cook?'' I said. Shocked. Men usually aren't very good cooks.

''Of course I cook. I've been told I'm actually a very good cook.'' Stefan said, placing eggs, bacon, hasbrowns and toast on 2 plates and walking them over to the table.

''Well, I'll be the judge of that.'' I said, laughing as I sat down in my chair.

I took the first bite of egg, he was right. It was actually pretty good, but I didn't want to tell him that just yet at least.

''Hm... it's alright.'' I said.

''Alright? Just alright?''

I smiled and laughed and then he knew I was lying.

''Oh you..'' he said pushing out his chair along with mine, as he picked me up and held me for a minute.

I noticed something different about Stefan as he was hugging me.

He seemed strong, and his facial structure seemed a little weird, but maybe that's normal for him. I just didn't get the chance to notice it at first.

Stefan's POV:

I cooked Elena breakfast for dinner, one of my favorite meals, and she seemed to of liked it but lied about it at first, which gave me an excuse to play around with her.

But when I picked her up, my vampirism was coming out.

I started to feel myself getting a little bit stronger, and the veins in my face were starting to pop out, but I doubt Elena noticed.

I have to tell her sometime about it though.

You can't keep secrets like that forever from someone. Especially if me and Elena turn into something more in the future. I couldn't come right off the bat lying to her, that would be wrong.

I turned for a moment when we were sitting on the couch next to each other so she wouldn't see my face.

''You okay?'' She asked.

''Yeah, I'm alright. I just think I have something in my eye. I'll run to the bathroom really quick to check it out.'' I said, getting up and speed walking to the mirror.

I looked in the mirror and I was right, my veins were starting to pop out on my face and my eyes started to get blood shot red.

''Stefan, you ok-'' Elena started to say... but she saw my face before she got to continue.

We looked at each other for a moment without saying anything.

''What is wrong with your face?'' She finally said.

''Um... well.... you see...''

''Stefan.....what is wrong with your face?'' She said again.

''It's not that easy to come out and say... Uh, Elena...''

I wasn't ready to tell her. This isn't the right way to tell her.

But I had to now. She saw me. She saw my face. I couldn't make up some lie and then bring up the subject again when I was ready to tell her.

''You're probably not going to believe me when I tell you this, but I'm a.... vampire.'' I finally said.

She started to laugh so hard and nearly fell to the ground.

''A vampire? Stefan, vampires are supernatual creatures that aren't real. They belong in stupid horror stories of movies and stuff. That's impossible, now come on, and tell me the truth about what happened to your face.'' She said.

She didn't believe me and I was actually telling the truth. But who would? Who would ever believe the boy they have been talking to isn't actually a human and is a supernatural creature?

''Elena, I'm not lying to you. I know you're not stupid and think vampires aren't real but they are. I've been a vampire for over 100 years, and I'm not really 18 years old. I'm about 150 years old, I just don't look like it because we don't age. I've been in high school for many, many years and just keep repeating my grades because I have to be enrolled in school. I don't even live in Mystic Falls, I came here with my uncle Zach. Elena, I don't want to lie to you, and that's why I'm telling you all of these important things. I'm a vampire.'' I spit out.

Elena just started at me, probably in shock from all that I just told her.

''So you're telling me, you've been a vampire for 100 years?'' She finally said.

I nodded.

''How is that even possible?''

I sat her down once again on the couch and told her pretty much my entire life story. I told her about how I became a vampire from a girl named Katherine, but I failed to mention how they look so much alike. I told her about how my parents died because they weren't vampires. I told her about my brother Damon, who I haven't seen in years over some stupid fight. I told her about my years in high school, and how I've been 18 for about 100 years now.

She listened to all my stories all night. Her eyes didn't leave mine.

''Okay.... I believe you. I believe you're a vampire now.'' She said.

''I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner but it's not something that just kinda comes out when you first meet someone.'' I said. ''How do you feel about all this?''

''I'm just shocked. I didn't even think vampires were real until this moment. I don't want to treat you any differently then I have been. I just have to get used to this now and it's forsure going to take some time for me to get used to it.''

I understood and shook my head.

''Well, it's getting late and I should probably be heading home. We've had enough talking and sharing memories for the night, you think?'' I said with a smile.

She laughed and smiled along with me.

I got up off the couch to walk towards the door and Elena did the same.

I opened the door and turned around quickly because I knew she was behind me, and kissed her right on her lips.

I pulled away.

''I really like you, Elena. I like the way you listen to me when I talk. I like the way you just accepted all my flaws of being some monster. I love how beautiful you are. I love the ways your eyes sparkle when I look into them for a long time. I haven't know you for the longest time, but I think I'm falling in love with you.'' I said, not even realizing what just came out of my mouth.

She didn't say anything, and pulled her lips up to mine once again and just kissed me with so much power and passion.

She pulled away.

''I think I'm falling in love with you too.''

That was the last thing she said before I walked out the door and closed it behind me.

I walked to my car and drove home with the biggest smile on my face.
