Elena's POV:
Already the next morning, I got out of bed by myself for the first time since the accident, and got myself dressed to get ready to go to therapy.
Jenna was driving me there, obviously because I wasn't allowed to drive myself and Stefan and all my friends were at school. Yes, Stefan is at school. He didn't need to take any more time off for my sake.
I made my way down the stairs, with just a little bit of support from my crutches and the railing on the side and went to the car, where Jenna was waiting for me.
''Where's Jeremy? Isn't he going to school?'' I said, as Jenna was helping me into the passanger seat.
''Oh that boy is crazy. Caught him up at about 4 in the morning last night playing video games, and I didn't want to have the raft of that in the morning. He will realize when he wakes up what he needs to do.'' She said back.
I laughed a little bit and closed the door once I was in the seat.
We drove a couple miles to Mystic Falls Health Center, and I got out of the car by myself and used my crutches to make my way inside.
''Name please.'' The lady at the front desk said.
''Elena Gilbert.'' I said, watching Jenna sit down in the chair across from me, grabbing a magazine on the table.
''I'll be right here waiting for you when you come out.'' She said, before I walked in the door.
I only had therapy for about an hour.
We just learned how to raise our legs a little bit and depend on the other one when we need to walk or complete a simple task. Nothing hard.... just yet. But I'm getting back into the hang of things.
We drove back home and I was suprised to find Bonnie, Caroline, Tyler and Matt standing in my driveway, waiting for me.
''Uh, hey.... guys....'' I said, not expecting to find them here.
''We haven't had much friends time like we used to to lately, and I heard from Jeremy that you were at therapy, so we just decided to wait for you.'' Bonnie said.
That means that Jeremy probably didn't go to school today and answered the door when they get here. Great.
''Nice to see all of you, I've missed you. Why don't you come inside?'' I said.
''Need any help with that leg of yours?'' Matt offered.
''No I'm good, Just gotta learn to do things like this on my own again.'' I responded.
We all walked inside and the girls and I took a seat on the couch, while the boys sat in the other chairs, across from where we were sitting.
''So how have you been lately? You haven't been to school all week. We've all been worried about you.'' Caroline said.
''I've been doing good. I've been better, but I've also been getting better. I can walk a little bit up and down the stairs with my leg and I just went to therapy as you heard, which will also help me get back into the swing of things. How have you guys been?''
''Good. Actually great, I would say.'' Caroline said while blushing.
''Why are you in such a good mood?'' I said.
''She's in a good mood because my buddy boy and her are together now.'' Matt said as he pointed to Tyler.
I opened my mouth to say something. ''Together?! What? Since when!'' I shouted.
''Uh, just a couple days ago.'' Caroline said as she got up and walked over to where Tyler was sitting, and sat down on his lap.
''Wow, I have really been missing things with my friends, with school. I need to get back there asap. I'm sick of lying around here all day so helpless.'' I said.
I really did miss school, as much as before I hated it and the sound of my alarm going off in the morning gave me anxiety.
''When do you think you'll be back?'' Bonnie asked.
''Next week. It's already Friday tomorrow, and I don't wanna go back on Friday and get all my work and have to do it all over the weekend. I need to relax a bit more before.'' I said.
They all nodded and we chatted a bit more, and they kept me updating on things happening up at school.
They all left after a while. It was nice having them over even if it was just for a little bit. I miss my friends. I've been so caught up with this accident and being with Stefan, I failed to realize it.
Speaking of my boyfriend, he hasn't texted or called me all day.

Stefan's POV:
I haven't called Elena all day, because I've been having one of those days.
One of those days where all I can think about is blood. All I can think about is ripping people's heads off. When I'm in this state of mind, I can't be by people I love. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt them.
I used to a ripper back in the day.
Someone who kills massive amounts of people, and doesn't even care. I used to turn my emotions off and not have a care in the world.
I have something to care about now. Elena. I care about her more than anything and she needs me.
I'm too busy stuck in this funk that I just don't want to talk to anyone at the moment, even her.
I locked myself away in room, away from Uncle Zach.
I opened my diary. I love writing and I used to write in this thing every single day, but I don't have the time anymore. I have time right now, and I needed to clear my mind.
I write:
Dear Diary,
I know I haven't wrote lately. I haven't been able too. I met a girl. She's epic. She's beautiful, kind, sweet, loving and anything else good you can possibly think of. She makes me so happy when I'm around her that I forgot everything else. I had this feeling once before, when I was with Katherine. Katherine's been gone for a decade now, but being around Elena, it makes me think of her, just for a little bit. Our love was something to remember. But I have new love coming upon me. Elena. I love her. I think I really do.
I closed my diary for the night and put it on my end table.
Excaping my emotions in my diary for a little bit was what I needed, but I still didn't want to talk or be around anybody.
I got my phone from the endtable and pressed down on the power button.
I needed some sleep to get my mind off his hunger.
