Stefan's POV:
I finally came out and told Elena about Katherine yesterday, even though it didn't happen the way I wanted it too.
She found my journal on the ground, and managed to read as much as she could before I got back upstairs.
She was mad a first, and she even threatened to leave, but she ended up staying and listening to what I had to say and she understood everything, I think.
But it's the next morning, and it's the weekend. I just need to enjoy it with my girlfriend. No other girl troubles. No vampire issues coming in and out. Just me & her.
I wanted to do something speical. Get away from all these problems and just be alone with her.
I decided that since it was such a nice day, that we could go out to eat and sit somewhere outside. It was almost lunch time anyways.
I didn't even tell Elena that I was coming over and taking her somewhere, I just hopped in my car, but before going over to her house, I stopped at the flower shop down the street, and picked up the most beautiful flowers in the whole store.
I finally arrived at her house and walked up the door, rining the doorbell.
She was still in her pajamas, hair everywhere and could see the scars starting to fade away from her face. She still always managed to look so beautiful.
''Stefan, oh my god, what are you doing here? I look like this, don't even look at me.'' She said, turning away, but I already saw.
''Elena, you don't need to hide from me. You can dress like that every single day and I would still be standing here, waiting for you to turn around and give me a kiss.'' I said.
She laughed and stayed turned around for a moment, but finally turned around and kissed me.
I handed her the flowers. ''For you.''
''Wow, they are so beautiful. What's this for?''
''Oh, it's nothing. Just wondering if you maybe wanna go out for a little bit. Like a.... date?'' I said.
A date. We haven't really gone out much since we started dating, because we just enjoyed being with each other and then the accident happened and all.
''A date?''
''Yes. A date. Now stop staring at me, and go upstairs and put something nice on.'' I said with a smile.
She didn't hesitate before walking over to the kitchen to put the flowers in some water in a vase and walking upstairs to get changed.
I sat down on the couch and looked across the room at some pictures sitting above the fireplace.
I picked up a picture of her, Jeremy and what seemed to look like her parents. All of them look so happy. They were all still together and it broke me knowing that another picture like this would never be taken again.
I put it down and looked at the rest of the pictures on the shelf. Some school pictures of Elena and Jeremy. Some pictures of her parents. Even some pictures of Jenna with a guy. I didn't know Jenna had a boyfriend.
Before I was done looking at the pictures, Elena came downstairs and instantly took my breath away.
She was wearing an orangish pink colored dress, put some make up on and fixed her hair. Her scars were almost completely gone off her face, and her armed seemed to be doing the same. The only thing left was the cast on her leg, which she used her crutches to prop it up.
''Wow, you look absolutely stunning.'' I said, when she made her way all the way down to the last step.
''Oh and you don't look all that bad yourself in that suit of yours.'' She said.
I put my arm out, for her to put her arm inside mine and escorted her to the car, and she was only using one of her crutches to get there. Progress.

Elena's POV:
Stefan suprised me at my door with a dinner date. I was excited, we haven't really got much time to get out of the house.
We pulled into a fancy resteraunt and Stefan was such a gentleman, opening the car door for me and helping me out. I decided to use my wheelchair instead of the crutches before they were causing so much pressure on my leg.
He wheeled me in and we sat down at a table outside, since it was such a nice day and both ordered.
''This is such a nice place, Stefan. You didn't need to take me somewhere like this, I would be happy if you took me on a date to like McDonalds.'' I said, laughing.
''McDonalds? Haha, no babe. This is like that place to me to show my appreciation for you. We can go somewhere even better next time.'' He said back.
Laughing. ''You didn't have to take me here looking all like this, all banged up. We could of waited so you didn't have to drag around my embarresment.''
''Embarresing? Elena, I would never be that of you. Who cares? You're a little banged up still. You have to be pushed around in a wheelchair. That doesn't make me think any less of you. It shows your strengh and that's something to admire.''
''You don't have to pity it.'' I said.
Stefan looked at me for a moment and then finally stood up on his chair and started to shout: ''Hey everyone! You see this beautiful girl right here? She thinks I'm embarresed of her, but I'm not, at all. I want everyone to know she's mine. I want everyone to know that she is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time.'' He started.
Everyone around gave him a crazed look, some people clapped and some people just went back to their conversations.
Stefan got off the chair and and looked down at me and kissed me right on the lips. I wasn't ready for the kiss, but I joined my lips in sinc with his.
He pulled away and stared at me in the eyes. ''Now do you believe me when I say that I'm not embarresed of you?'' He said.
''Yes, but you didn't have to go to that extreme. Now YOU embarresed me!'' I said, laughing.
''I guess trying to be a romantic turns into that. Sorry babe. I just wanted you to know and that was the only thing that was coming to mind, telling everyone, complete strangers.'' He said.
He sat back down and our food came. We ate and shared a lot of laughs and smiles.
He dropped me off at my place, after we made out in the car a little.
The first day of the weekend went good but tomorrow is the day that I found out how much longer I have to keep this cast on.
I've been feeling better and have my second therapy appointment. I just hope I don't have to keep on the cast much longer, so I can begin to feel free once again.
