I Had To Know Her

Chapter 11

Elena's POV:

I woke up the next morning in so much pain that I knew I wasn't going to be getting out of bed anytime soon, and I would not be able to make it through the school day.

My head was throbbing, my leg felt as if it wasn't even there anymore and I could barely move, scared that I would re-open one of the deep cuts somewhere on my body.

''Jenna!!'' I screamed from my bed.

She ran up the stairs as fast as she could, cause I could hear the force in her step as she came up them.

''What's wrong, honey?'' She said, running over to my bedside.

''Please don't make me go to school today. I can't move. Please.'' I begged.

She was mad at first, cause I already missed a couple days and it was only the begginging of the school year. But she finally agreed after being with me for a couple minutes and seeing all the pain that I was in.

She left, and I texted Stefan that I wasn't going to school today and he responded back with: 'I'll be over after school. Make some room in that bed of yours beautiful.' 

As much pain as I was feeling, I couldn't help but smile.

Stefan's POV:

Elena wasn't going to school today, and all I wanted to do is be right by her side. She needed me. Jenna was going to be working all day, and I already saw Jeremy today at school, which means he wasn't home with her either. She as all alone.

I was just hoping this school day speeds by.

I went into my 1st period, the class that me and Elena have together, and was greeted by Bonnie, Elena's bestfriend.

''Thank you so much Stefan, for taking care of Elena these past few days and being there when the accident happened. I couldn't imagine something happening to my best friend and no one being there for her. She's been through enough this year, and doesn't need anything else on her plate.'' She said.

''Oh, it's no problem. It's the least I could do. Thanks for swinging by the hospital, you and Caroline, the other day. That was great.'' I said back.

''Oh, Bonnie got to you first, I wanted to be there when she said thank you because I wanted to say it too. You seem like a great guy. You make Elena really happy.'' Caroline said, walking in the door behind me.

''I'm glad I can.'' I said, before sitting at my desk in the back of the room and getting ready for the day.

The day went by soooo slow, because the only thing I was thinking about was being with Elena after school. 

I walked to my car and went to her house, and without even knocking on her front door, I walked inside and went straight up to her room, where I found her sleeping.

I tapped her on the shoulder and she woke up instantly.

''Who! Who is it!'' She said, waking up.

''Babe, it's just me. No need to worry, I'm not going to hurt you.'' I said.

''Oh my god, I'm so sorry Stefan, I guess I was just having a bad dream or something.''

''No need to apologize to me. I understand.'' I said ''Do you need anything? You've been home alone for a while and it doesn't look like you've even got out of bed today.'' 

''A glass of water would be nice, please.'' She responded.

I walked down stairs and got a glass of water before waking back up the stairs and putting it on the table next to her bed before helping her sit up in bed.
