Elena's POV:
Beep. Beep. Beep.
That was the sound of my alarm clock going off in the morning and then I realized that I should probably stop pressing snooze and get out of bed to get ready for school.
I didn't get much sleep last night.
I spent almost my entire weekend with Stefan and didn't realize that I had homework to do, so I just put it all away until last minute and last minute just happened to be about 11:00pm on Sunday.
As much time I spent with Stefan this weekend, every second that we weren't together, he was still on my mind.
I don't act like this with guys.
Sure, I call boys cute and stuff and tease around with my friends acting like I'm going to date them or whatever, but I never actually catch strong feelings for someone.
I didn't catch strong feelings when I dated Matt. We were friends for so long and then dated and I just didn't feel that special connection. I do with Stefan.
I also remembered that after Stefan told me that he was falling in love with me, I said it back. But did I mean it? I don't know, but I didn't need to figure that out now, we weren't even dating.....yet.
I got out of bed, got dressed and threw my hair up into a high ponytail.
I grabbed my bookbag and walked downstairs and out the door..... failing to realize something that I should of done over the weekend.
''Shit.'' I said outloud to myself.
I forgot about the fact that my car was towed from school on Friday.... and I was supposed to pick it up over the weekend.
I had no ride to go get my car. I had no ride to get to school. Jenna already left for work and Jeremy spent the night over his friends house and is just gonna catch a ride with him for school. I could call Jeremy and ask him if his friend could give me a ride but that would mean spending time with a bunch of Freshman gamer nerds. No thanks.
I took my phone out of pocket.
Bonnie? Caroline?
They probably already left to head up there.
Stefan?
I hit the call button.
''Hello?'' He said.
I explained to him the problem, and he said he would drive over and we could go pick up my car and then head to school but we would probably be a little late.
I hung up and waited for him.
He pulled in the driveway with a little old red mustang.
''This is yours?'' I said.
''Yep. I've had it for many years but it's still working and running.'' He laughed.
I got into the passanger seat and we went up to get my car.
We arrived there and we both got out and went over to the booth where a man was standing.
''Can I help you?'' He said.
''Uh, yes. My car was towed on Friday and I just rememebered now, being stupid, that it happened and I would like to get it back so I can get to school.''
I gave him my name and he went back to find it.
''Okay, young lady, it will be $219.86.''
My mouth dropped to the ground. I mouthed 'are you serious' and then got my wallet out of my purse. What a waste of money.
I handed over the money and he handed me the paperwork to fill out.
''Have a good day.'' He said as I was walking out and somebody was coming to pull out my car to give to me.
I didn't say it back because it made me so mad that I just basically gave away over 200 dollars.
I saw my car and kissed Stefan on the cheek before hopping into the driver seat and he hopped into his car.
He drove in front of me on the way to school and once we got there, we parked right next to each other.
We were about 15 minutes late but becoming late is basically my everyday scedule lately.
We speed walked to class and walked in together.
Mr. Simon didn't say anything about it, but someone else noticed.
Bonnie.
I didn't get a chance to talk to her all weekend, which is unusual for us because we're best friends and talk all the time.
Her eyes lit up when I sat down at the seat next to her in the front row.
I listened to Mr. Simon talk for about another 30 minutes and then walked out of the classroom with Bonnie.
''You have A LOT of explaining to do there, Mrs. Gilbert.'' She said.
''I know, I know. But we aren't dating if that's what you think.''
She nodded and I told her all about my weekend while we walked down the hall to each others next class. She was like so happy about everything and said he seemed like a nice guy and wants to get to know him more. I told her he was so nice and that we can all get together soon.
I didn't want to get together too soon because we weren't even dating. That would be just weird.
Bonnie walked into her classroom, but I didn't go to mine yet.
I walked back down the hallway that I came down to look for Stefan, and I saw him hovering over the drinking fountain.
I ran up to him and put my hands over his eyes.
''Guess who!'' I said like I was some 5 year old.
''Hm.... I could never guess.... Elena?'' He said.
I took my hands off of his eyes and laughed and he joined in with me.
He grabbed my hand and walked me to my next class, which was quite unexpected but I didn't do anything about it, not like I didn't like it or anything.
''Do you think we could, uh, talk after school or something today?'' He said.
''Of course. How about I just come right after school since I finally have my car back?'' I replied.
He nodded and kissed me on my lips, in front of everyone that was in the hallway and some people stared. I didn't care though. I hope other girls see that even though we aren't dating, Stefan Salvatore is mine.
I just didn't know what he wanted to talk about after school, and I hope it isn't anything that I need to be worried about.
