Stefan's POV:

It's been about a week since I've been released from the hospital and a lot of things are now looking up for me. I've stopped drinking: completely. I have recovered from most of my injuries, quicker than most. That was probably a vampire feature that will never go away. Elena and I are on good terms right now and she is no longer holding the ''drunk driving'' scenario over my head.

The school year is coming to an end, and this will be my final end. I've been used to coming back to high school every year, just a different one. You don't grow old when your a vampire. That is no longer the case since being a vampire is an old life to me now.

It's senior year. It's almost time to graduate and move on with my life.

I've been up for an hour now, just sitting on the edge of my bed, thinking about this crazy and amazing life I've lived. I've seen a lot of things, I've been alive for many, many years. I've overcome so many obsticles, like losing my parents, watching other loved ones die, becoming a vampire, and then becoming human once again. All of those things have shaped me into the man that I consider myself today and I'm pretty damn proud of it.

It's now 7:04 and I should probably started heading to school.

Elena finally got her car all repaired and has been driving to school on her own lately, but I do miss picking her up every morning. We still meet before school.

I drove up the street to the building, parked and got out of my car to see my lovely lady waiting for me.

''Hey, you.'' She said, grabbing the buttons on my shirt and pulling me forward for a kiss.

''Someone seems to be in a good mood this morning.'' I said.

''It's always a good moring when I get to see you.'' And she drew me in for another kiss.

It's the best feeling in the entire world when you've been dating someone for such a long time and you still have so much love and passion for one another. I don't think or want that to ever be taken away from my relationship with Elena. She is the perfect girl for me and I already know that. I want to be with her for the rest of my life.

We walked to class, well to seperate classes since we no longer have first period together, and I ran into my class quickly when I heard the bell rang cause I could not afford to be late any more times this year.

''Hello, class. I know it's getting to the end of the school year and everyone is so excited to leave this school and never look back but we will be having one final project.'' Mr. Lander began. ''You need to do a powerpoint, about someone who influenced your life in a positive way, like a role model type of thing.''

Role model? Who the hell would be mine?

''This is due in one week, but you will need to get started on it outside of my class.''

Great.

I honestly could not think of someone who could be a ''role-model'' to me. My dad isn't here any longer but even when he was, he wasn't that type of material. Uncle Zach and me aren't all that close for me to use him. My brother Damon and I haven't talked in years and he's not that type of material either. I honestly had no clue who to use and this was due in one week.

I guess I just had to put some thought into it.

Another thing I had to think about was prom. It was coming up in about a week and Elena already had her dress, but I didn't offically ask her yet. Like a regular prom-proposal or whatever they call those. I'm not into dances or dancing in general. I consider it to be a weak point.

At the end of the day, I met Elena at her car and kissed her goodbye. She had to go home and help Jenna with something so she couldn't really talk long, but I understood.

I decided to go to Caroline's house after school, and see if she had any ideas about the prom-proposal. She is usually into those types of girly things, and would hopefully have a great idea in mind for me to use.

I pulled in her driveway and knocked on the door.

She looked confused to see me standing on her doorstep.

''Stefan?'' She asked.

''Ha, yeah. It's me. I just had a question to ask you. Can I come in?'' I scratched the back of my head.

''Yeah, sure. Of course.'' She said, opening the door for me.

''Thanks.''

I walked inside and she had a pretty nice house. Lots of pictures and decorations on the walls, kind of what I expected from someone like her.

I sat down on the couch and she took a seat across from me.

''So, I know you know the prom is coming up-'' I began to say.

''Yeah, I'm on the prom committee.'' She said, sounding excited.

I smiled. ''Well, I need a way to ask Elena, like something big. We've both been through so much this year and she deserves something and someone to do that for her. I thought maybe you could help me come up with an idea like that.'' I said.

''AW!! Yay! I love this!'' She said.

I knew I made the right choice asking her.

''How about, you ask her at the football game this Friday. I can make the cheerleaders make a huge sign that spells out the word ''Prom'' and someone can hold flowers, and maybe even some balloons and you can ask her in front of the entire stadium, at halftime, when you come off for a quick break.'' She said, sounding like she has been waiting to say this idea to someone for years.

''That does sound like a good idea. You think you could get people to do that?''

''Of couse I can. I am cheer captian this year after all, if you didn't know, and they will listen to me. Besides, who wouldn't want to help out with something as cute as this?'' She smiled.

I smiled back, and now had the perfect idea for prom. I just didn't want to actually go and have to show my terrible dance moves in front of the entire school.

I left Caroline's house a few minutes later and she said she was going to take care of all the hard work that went along with this and for me to just show up at the game and ask her.

Piece of cake.

The only thing I had to worry about now was this stupid end of the year role model project.
