It's been a week and a half now and I've begun to settle back into this familiar surrounding. I finished uni in Australia before I came here so there really isn't anything to do except look for jobs. First on my list was McDonalds but there were no vacancies, next was a bar but they wouldn't allow me because I had no 'experience' in waitressing. Pfft, I'm pretty sure the majority of people who work there don't either. I then decided maybe a few hours of retail therapy would do the trick, I'd need something to wear for an interview anyway.

I flicked through my new (technically old) closet to find something to put on. I settled on ripped skinny jeans, a cropped sweater and  brown leather (lace up) platform heels. My hair? Ugh, can't be bothered, I'll keep it down. I had to kindly ask my uncle's wife if she could drop me off at the shopping mall as I had no car.

Ok so I've arrived at my destination but which shop first? Ohh Seafolly, I love that place, ahh! A sale!! I scurried over to the store of many colours. Oh and so many options. I wonder what I should get, oh this is $15. Nahh, way too short. $20 playsuit, no so last season. Oh there's something, a peach and white ombre kaftan for $19. Love it! Buying it! Besides, mum always said only get it if you love it, and the feeling's mutual with this baby. I took it to the checkout whilst scanning the other stores. I quickly payed and then headed towards Valley Girl. No sale but their prices are usually kinda cheap.

I sorted through all the racks until stumbling upon some cute sparkly silver platform ankle booties. You see I'm not really one for sparkles but these were cool. Aaanddd $30. Actually I had enough...aw man, but then I'll only have $1. Darn.

Hmm where else should I go. Eh why not, Dotti it is. Might as well, I hadn't been there for years. Upon arriving, two salesgirls had already started pestering me. I'd hate to be them, it's kind of embarrassing even for me. Clothes, clothes, exxy prices, exxy prices..nope nothing. I continued searching until I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned around to face a young woman, most probably the same age as me, who honestly looked as though she was supposed to be on runway right now.

'Hi, I'm Coral and might I just say that I love your outfit. So grundgy yet so chic. I like it.' Coral said with a smile.

'Um thanks I like yours too.' She had on white and gold nike high tops, a tight cream skirt a baggy white top and a black leather jacket.

'Thanks. Hey are you by any chance a model?' Now this I found sad.

'Uh yeah about that, see I did do modelling when I was younger and I hoped to be a Victoria's Secret angel..but I guess plans changed and it wasn't meant to be.' It was all true but I had forgotten all about it until now.
