Chapter 4

Nico's POV

Percy was so comforting. I knew he was there for me. But I don't think he could protect me from my dad. After my mom died, my dad started drinking and doing drugs and stuff. (I don't care how cliché this is or how many ppl I'm copying.) He blamed me for her death. But I didn't know why, he just did cause I was the closest person to blame. I tried running away but the cops just took me back to my father, despite his addictions. I want to get away from him, but if I'm gone for more than two days, my dad calls the police to look for me. Percy was my safe zone. I don't know what to do without him. He's been so comforting. I need him.

"What am I gonna do Percy..."

"I don't know but whatever it is, I'm there for you to support you all the way."

I smiled. "Thanks Percy."

He gave me a full kiss. I felt my cheeks heat up. Every time he does it, he uses so much passion and emotion in it. I can feel the love radiate off him.

Percy dropped me off at my house.But we had a plan. I would go inside, straight to my room and pack some stuff. As in all my stuff. Clothes, electronics, shoes, bathroom stuff, everything. Then I would throw them into the bushes below my window where Percy will wait to get them. He'll put them in the car and then catch me when I jump.

I got as far as going inside.

Percy's POV

I something wasnt right. Its been half an hour and Nico hasn't thrown a single bag down. I heard yelling and then a scream. Followed by more yelling. I banged on the door.

"PERCY! RUN! PLEASE!"

I kicked the door but it wouldn't budge. Then I heard a bang. Like gunshot bang. Followed by a scream. I finally kicked the door down. I rushed inside. I saw a trail of blood up the stairs. I ran into Nico's room and found him curled on the bed, bullet in his arm. It wasn't fatal but it would be unless I got him to a hospital. (I know what ur thinking if you read my other two Percico books. this isn't this situation. calm down.) I ran to him and hugged him. "Per...cy?" he had is eyes shut from crying.

"Yeah. Its ok now. Where did your da-"

I felt something hit the back of my head and heard Nico scream before I crumbled.
