I closed my eyes and cried hard, making wailing noises like a newly born baby. It was then that I started thinking of all my mistakes during the audition.

"Felicity, what's wrong?" Sharon asked.

I stopped crying for a minute and stared at her, my vision blurry as a result of my tears. "How dare you ask me that? Well, you never supported me in any way, so of course, you being unruffled is no surprise."

"That's true, but I still don't understand the tears."

"Now, you really want to mock me? Okay, I'll admit it, you wicked and cruel lady, I am not happy. So, stop trying to rub salt on my wound", I spat.

She laughed. "Lady, I said I was sorry because you just got yourself into big trouble. You were chosen, so stop blabbing nonsense."

I blinked repeatedly, not believing her words. Then, I grabbed my phone from her and read the message myself .

"Dear Felicity Adams, this is to inform  you that you're one of the two candidates chosen to join the Rainbow musical band. Thank you for your perseverance all along. Report to the hall where you were auditioned the moment you read this. Congratulations"

My mouth popped open in surprise and without thinking, I hugged Sharon, shouting gleefully. I couldn't just believe my luck. After two minutes of holding her, I ran to my bathroom, brushed my teeth and wiped my face. Trust me, that was done in five minutes.

I dashed out of the house, leaving a too shocked to talk Sharon. I hurried to my car and drove away. I got to the hall in fifteen minutes. Immediately I got there, I smiled widely as reporters surrounded my car. How they knew I was the one, I don't know. I got down from my car and smiled at them.

"How old are you, Miss Adams?" one man with brown hair asked.

"Nineteen. I'll be twenty in the next three months though."

"What song did you sing that made you get chosen, Miss Adams?" another with glasses resting on his nose said.

"Forever. I composed it myself." I was enjoying this so much that I couldn't help but smile and smile. Before I could get asked another question, I felt a strong hand pull me away, causing the reporters to follow like bees following honey.

I couldn't see the person's face and so, I just tagged along like a puppy. He pulled open the door leading to the hall and dragged me in, shutting it behind him. When he did that, he spun me around to face him.

I staggered for a while, but then, I regained my balance. I looked at his face and my eyes widened in shock. It was the rude man that hit my car. I pointed my finger at him, anger filling me again.

He didn't seem to recognize me, though, because he just glared hard at me. "Don't you know that as a member of a very popular musical band, you should try your possible best to stay away from reporters?"

It was then that I also remembered that he was Mikey, the band leader and in realization, my finger dropped and my gaze went to the ground.

"Yeah, you're an amateur. I almost forgot."

I raised my head up and frowned. "Who did you just call an amateur?"

He laughed. "And you have guts too.  People like you should-" He stopped because another person cut in. "Hello, Felicity Adams."

I turned to look at the person and then, a smile curved my lips. "Collins!"

He nodded and held out his hand which I shook immediately. "Congratulations."
