I think curiosity made me talk. I had to know if he had feelings for me. I know, I'm supposed to ignore him, but my heart was not aligned with my sense of reasoning.

"So, you like me?" I stuttered.

He tightened his grip around my waist and smiled. "Is that what it means?"

I frowned. What was this dude's problem? "Hey, I don't know what made you think I like you, but I don't, okay?"

He nodded. "Oh, you don't? I'm thrilled, elf." He used his other hand to cup my cheek, his thumb slowly rubbing. "We'll find out."

I closed my eyes in anger. There was no way I liked this guy. He was too rude and irritating. No, no, I didn't. Maybe the feelings I was experiencing was because I was sick somewhere or something.

Angrily, I opened my eyes, put my hands on his chest and pulled away from his grip. He left me and sat down, crossing his legs again.

I wiped my sweaty palms on my cloth. I had to put a stop to this now. Not any other time, but now! My career was more important than this play.

"Mike."

"Izzy. Talk to me."

I rolled my eyes. "I have to tell you something."

He nodded. "I'm all ears."

"Good. Stop this. I don't have feelings for you. Stop calling me Gold. Stop telling me that you like my smile and all that shit. I'm here to build my career. Honestly, the moment you try that with me again, I'll report you to the higher-ups for discipline."

He laughed, so hard that tears formed in his eyes. If not that I was in a messy condition, I would have laughed with him.

"Oh my goodness, elf. That's wonderful. Thank goodness you realize now what you're here for. I thought you were here to date every guy here. Good."

I clenched my fists. "Now that you know, I'll like to take my leave."

"Since you have decided to be serious now, I should be more serious. Let's meet for practice in the next five minutes."

"We had practice today, excuse me."

"We are trying to be serious now. This time, it's just you and I. Let's develop the lyrics of the song. Already we have little time left. I'm sure I also told you that we're making an album. Just too many things to do."

"I'll be back. Where are we having it?"

"In here."

I nodded and walked out, the anger still in me. Immediately I got to my room, I saw Sharon pacing about. "You are done eating?"

"Hey, didn't I tell you to ignore those guys? You were staring like--"

"I get it now. I'll ignore them. I have practice in five. Let's talk about this later."

Sharon sighed and sat on the bed. "Felicity, I saw something heart wrenching a few minutes ago."

I frowned. "What?"

She looked at me and shook her head. "That Micheal guy."

"What about him?"

"You must have really broken his heart. He was freaking drinking and crying. His hair was tousled and he looked like someone that had lost hope totally. What the hell did you do to him?"

"Where did you see him?"

"I was just walking around. He was in the garden. I know I told you to ignore, but this guy really had me pitying him. What level did you go?"
