I sat beside Mike and shifted a little bit close to him, aware of Michael's eyes following my every move.

"Mike."

He looked at me with those blue eyes again and I felt a shiver run down my spine. "Elf."

I hated that he made me feel this way. "I hate you, you know?"

He smiled. How could he even smile? "I dislike you."

I bit my lip and glared at him before sitting up straight. Michael was staring at Mike and I suspiciously and I understood why. I sighed and shifted to the other side of my seat.

"Baby."

I exhaled slowly. I thought he said he would stop calling me that? I looked at him and forced a smile on my face.
"Come and sit over here."

"It's comfortable here. Thanks."

"Felicity." He sounded angry.

"She said she's comfortable here. Do you want her in a place she feels less comfortable? Humph, too bad."

Michael glared at him. "Mind your business."

Mike nodded. "I'll do that when you mind yours."

Micheal looked away and I couldn't help but notice the way he clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

"Elf."

I looked at Mike and frowned. "What?"

"Don't try so hard. Elves remain elves no matter whatever they wear."

All the tears I had been holding spilled  down immediately. I had dressed this much, even, crossed my bounds only to be told the same thing? I looked down and tried to muffle my whimpers.

"Izzy, take it easy."

I wanted to flare up, but we were in a crowded place. So, I carefully used my handkerchief to dab my eyes to avoid ruining my makeup. When I was done, I sat up again and looked ahead me.

"Elf."

I stopped chewing my gum to glare at him. "What?" I said in an ice cold tone.

"You...huh the girl I like, remember her?" He looked so serious that I had to scoff. He moved closer to me and raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I do. Mike, please, shut the hell up. I doubt you want to be caught talking to an elf."

He bit his lower lip and moved his lips to my ear. "She's here, staring at me."

I blinked hard and looked around to check for any lady staring at our direction. "I don't see anyone." I forgot my anger then. I really wanted to see the lady he had feelings for.

He moved his face closer. "My heart is beating really hard. What am I to do? She looks angry and just a while ago, I saw her cry. My gold cried."

I pulled back from him and shook my head. "She'll misunderstand if she sees us this close."

"We're not even dating, so I doubt she would misunderstand. She doesn't even like me."

"How do you know?"

He gazed into my eyes for sometime before he looked away. "I just know. She looks really pretty. My gold as always is shining brightly among other women."

I felt my heart shatter. Was she that beautiful? "Where's she? I want to see her."

He chuckled and shook his head. "Not yet, Izzy. You'll see her soon, I promise. It's not like I can stay like this without confessing my feelings. She just seems to be everywhere. Do you know what I love most about her?" He didn't even wait for me to respond before answering. "She--"
