Mike continued to stare at me, expecting an answer.
"I'm up to nothing. Why?" I dared to ask.
He just shook his head and looked away. "Of course, you're up to nothing." He had a sardonic smile on his face for a minute and then, he continued. "I really don't know what to do now. This elf here-" He paused when I glared at him. "Huh...Felicity here told me she would sing the song she sang at the audition. What do you guys think?"
Scott talked first. "Yeah. I approve of that. The song was really wonderful. We can just use that song to get the world to know her. What do you say, Thomas?"
He nodded too. "I'm in. The song is cool."
I blushed for the I don't even no time. "Thank you."
Mike scoffed. "I'm only agreeing to this because I have no other song planned out." Then, he stood up and moved close to me, his eyes cold. "Just try and mess up tomorrow. You'll see the other side of me, trust me."
I just looked away. He was just too annoying. Thomas nodded too and stood up. "Take this seriously, Felicity." I almost shouted at both of them when they left the room. How could they say such nonsense? I looked at Scott and almost died when I saw him staring at me with unsure eyes.
"See you tomorrow." He smiled and then walked out, leaving me shocked to the bones. None of them believed in me and that immediately took away the thoughts that they liked me from my head.
Just when I wanted to be left alone, Michael came in. He looked around before sitting beside me. "Hey."
I just nodded. I was too angry to talk. I wasn't even sure anyone of them liked me. Get me right, I was no longer thinking of the like like. Just normal liking for a friend.
"I need to get you some clothes to wear for the concert tomorrow. So, let's leave now."
"Clothes? You're taking me to get clothes?" I laughed at his talk and then shook my head. "I get you." I looked at him and nodded. "Let's leave."
He looked dazed for a while but then, he got over it and stood up. He began to walk away, expecting me to follow him which I did. He led me to the door that led outside.
When we got outside, I saw a woman smiling at me. "Hello, I'm Ruby. I'll be in charge of your costumes."
I smiled back at her. "Okay. Nice meeting you."

After a ten minutes drive, we finally got to a boutique. Ruby led me inside with Micheal behind me. I just didn't get what he was doing in a boutique with me, but I just shrugged it off. Then, Ruby took me to another room where two other women were. I greeted them and they introduced themselves as Lily and Ashley. Then, I commenced trying of clothes. I looked at Michael, expecting him to leave, but he just sat down and crossed his legs. He sure had a lot of time to waste.
Ruby handed to me a black gown and I just collected it from her and went inside the changing room. It was just a simple room with a huge mirror at one corner. I locked the door and unbuttoned my blouse. The jeans went down next leaving me to admire myself. I arranged my clothes neatly in a corner and took the blue gown from its hanger.
I zipped down the zipper at the back and slipped into it, pulling it up once I was done. It was a sleeveless gown and it just stopped at a point above my knees. I put my hand behind me and zipped it up. I gasped when I saw how the cloth clung to my body. I am a really curvy lady, that I'm grateful to God for. The cloth didn't show my cleavage, good.
I turned to look at the back of the clothe and gasped again. Almost half of my back was exposed. How could Ruby expect me to wear this rag? I mean, my mum would run mad if she saw me like this.
Angrily, I unlocked the door and stormed out, forgetting that Michael was here. He was standing by the door, for only God knows why. I gasped again when I noticed him. I saw his eyes widen, like his eyes were going up and down and I turned to glare at Ruby.
"I can't buy this cloth. Get me things that will cover my body. I feel naked for Chrissake." I turned to look at Michael and now, he was just staring at me. "Do you have to stay here?"
He smiled at me. Oh God, I missed that smile. "Yeah. I like this cloth though, pretty."
I looked away shyly. Don't bother to say I was really silly. I already knew that. I saw Lily wink at me and then, I cleared my throat. "I'm not getting this cloth."

After trying on about a thousand clothes, Ruby nodded at me and told me that we were done. So, let me fill you in now. I made sure I chose decent clothes--made sure they didn't show any private area and were reaching my knees. Even with that, Michael still looked at me like I was the prettiest girl in the world."Now, let's get your hair done", Ruby said. I turned to look at her. What was she talking about? I loved my brown hair the way it was. I didn't need anyone to do anything to it.
Before I could oppose, she pulled me by my wrist to another room. I met two other women, but I was too tired to ask them for their names. I just sat down and allowed them to work their magic. In no time, I felt two firm hands massaging my scalp. Then, I was gone into the dreamland.
