"How could you forget?"

His words haunted me deep. Yeah, how could I forget? I moved closer to him until he was just a couple centimeters away. "I'm sorry, really."

He took a step backward again. I really felt sad when I noticed he'd dressed up for me. He was dressed in a red tuxedo with a black shirt inside. Everything was dripping wet now, because of me.

"I'm sorry." I tried again. I moved towards him and put the umbrella over our heads. The umbrella wasn't all that big, so, a few drops landed on my back, but I didn't care. He deserved it. I shivered as the drops of rain hit me.

He noticed that and pulled me closer, into the cover of the umbrella. He then stepped back. "I'm already wet as you can see."

Oh God, I was falling from the cliff I had placed for myself. I was falling for this guy. He was too nice and good to me. "Michael, I-"

"Just stop talking, okay? I'm trying to get over the shock here."

I nodded and waited for some minutes. I noticed the tears that fell down his cheeks. All I wanted to do was wipe them away. After some time,  he looked at me and then, shook his head. "You...you forgot."

I dropped the umbrella beside me and walked towards him. He look at me, puzzled. "What are you doing? You'll get wet. I really don't want you catching a cold." He began to walk to retrieve it, but I stopped him.

"I really don't know what to say about this other than the fact that I'm sorry. I know that sounds really stupid and can't change anything, but I'll make it back to you, I promise."

He blinked hard and I could tell he was really hurt. I closed the distance between us and hugged him tight, my cheeks pressed against his chest. I could feel his heartbeat increase rapidly.

"Baby..."

Oh God, I was really going to cry. He wasn't calling me Felicity anymore. I tightened my grip around him and inhaled his cologne. I closed my eyes and smiled when I felt his arms wrap around me. This was great.

"Don't hug me too tightly because I'm wet."

Instead, I just hugged him tighter. I didn't care if I ended up getting soaked. All I cared for was being here, with him. "I don't care. Look, I'm sorry. I know you had plans and I ruined it all. I'll make it up, I promise. I'm so sorry."

Well, that did it. He pulled me towards himself and hugged me tighter, his hands running through my hair. "Baby..."

"Hug me properly, Michael." Where I got guts to say that, I have no idea.

I heard a low chuckle. He tightened his hold some more and put his head in the curve of my neck. "Is this better?"

I smiled. "Yeah."

We remained like that for some time before pulling back. I felt better now, but I still wasn't sure I had been forgiven. "So, are we okay?"

He nodded. "I think so."

"You think so?"

"What made you forget? I even made reservations at an expensive restaurant. I planned to--"

"I'm sorry. Can't we still have our date?"

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah. First, let's get you dried up."

"Oh."

"So, are you in?"

"Yes, but are you ready to spend the rest of your time with me?"
