I tried hard to focus on what I wanted to write down, but my mind always ended up wandering far. How could I concentrate when a guy was in my room?

I didn't even understand what happened earlier. For the first time, I saw him in another dimension. It was as if he'd become more handsome all of a sudden. I dropped my pen and ran my hand through my hair. This was frustrating.

"Elf?"

I jumped. His voice sounded really deep and that scared me. "What?" I snapped.

"You're okay?"

"Of course. Why?"

"Nothing. You can go on with your work."

I turned to look at him. "Don't you have work to do? How can a guy just sit with someone he hates, doing nothing?"

"It's dislike, not hate. I dislike you. There's a difference."

I felt my body get tense at his words. "Then, what are you freaking looking for here? You dislike me, so what are you doing here?"

He sat up and ran his hand through his hair, causing it to get tousled. "I came here because I didn't want my girls to find me. Of course, who would ever imagine me being in an elf's room? You're not as...huh...pretty as them. Well, you are probably the prettiest elf ever, but the ugliest human is equivalent to the prettiest elf. I just needed a break from them."

I felt my blood boil and I knew tears were already threatening their way out of my eyes, but I wasn't going to do that in his front. He was the cruelest being on earth and I hated him with passion.

"Liar", my subconscious said.

I stood up from my chair and moved closer to him. "You suck, dude. I understand that you don't have eyes, but don't ever in your life tell me--"

"You're ugly, elf. I told you now. What are you going to do about it? I'll continue to say it until I get tired. So what?"

His cocky tone made me annoyed beyond normal. "Get out of here, now."

He stood up from the bed and smiled at me. "See ya later, Izzy."

I glared at him. "Get out now!"

*******
After lunch, I managed to finish everything I had to do. Except for the meeting I had with Thomas and that had been suspended, because there was a meeting all the team members had to attend. Yeah, I think I'm getting used to all the impromptu meetings and all.

After having a quick shower, I put on a simple gown and my flats. Just as I was about to leave the room, I remembered Mike calling me ugly. I swallowed hard and sat in front of the mirror.

I looked at myself for moments, anger filling me. I knew I wasn't ugly. I mean, I  got a lot of 'hey, you're really pretty' when I was still in high school, so, why would he tell me that?

Angrily, I removed my shoes from my feet and placed them in one corner. Next, I went to my wardrobe to pick out another cloth. I was going to make him know that I wasn't ugly, though, not to the point of dressing provocatively.

After searching for about five minutes, I decided to wear a crop top and my knee-ripped jeans. Yeah, dress like a bad girl. After all, singers dressed crazily. I smiled satisfactorily and removed the clothes from their hangers.

I removed the gown I was wearing and threw it on my bed. I then got dressed in my choice of clothes. I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled wider. Yeah, bad girl rocking.

I pulled out the band holding my hair in a ponytail and let it flow in smooth waves around my shoulders. I combed the edges and nodded. My plan was gradually taking shape.

Now, makeup time. Remember, I'm a fan of light makeup, but this time, since I am being a bad girl, things were changing, definitely.

Mike's POV

When I got to the hall, I scanned for her, but I didn't see her. I kind of liked it when she was angry with me because it was only then that she gave me the attention I so badly desired. So, that was why I said what I said earlier.

I pulled out a chair and sat. The meeting was to introduce her to other musical bands. It was her second test and I really hoped she passed.

"Hey."

I looked up to see Michael. I rolled my eyes and looked away. He had the guts to mess with my gold. I mean, he was my enemy.

"Have you seen Felicity?"

I rolled my eyes again in disgust.

"Will you answer me and stop giving me those stupid looks?"

"No, I have not and in case you want to go pick her up, Scott promised to give her a ride."

He breathed out. "I'll have to thank him soon. I feel really bad leaving her at home."

I clenched my fists. He sat on the chair beside me, to my annoyance. "Why do you care about her so much?"

He looked at me and smiled. "I like her. Maybe it's love now, but that girl has my heart."

I glared at him. "Fool."

"Yeah, call me whatever. Why do you like to interfere in our matters? What's your business?"

I wanted to tell him that I liked her too, but that seemed too childish to me, so I just laughed. "You two disgust me."

He wanted to say something to me, but Scott sat down in front of us. "Where's she?" I found myself asking. "And why are you out of breath?"

He swallowed and brought his face closer. "Guys, you won't believe me until you see for yourself."

"Where's Felicity? I'm not interested in your talk", Michael said hastily, causing me to scoff.

"Yes, chill. That's what I'm about to tell you. She's on her way. She's with Collins at the moment. She's really...oh my goodness...she's hot. Do you think I should break up with Elsa?"

I knocked him on the head immediately. "Shut up, silly."

"And now, she's here", Scott said, making my heart to beat faster.

Slowly, I turned my head to look at her. The moment my eyes landed on her, I felt my breath hitch. My heart raced fast and my fingers began to tremble.

She walked so attractively that I felt my eyes almost pop out of their sockets. Each step left me staring at the way her hips swayed from left to right. The top she wore only covered up to her midriff and I was blessed with a wonderful view of her flat tummy. I liked the small hairs that lined her navel downwards.

I swallowed hard. Her eyes looked like blazing fire, so smoky that I wished I could kiss them. Her lips made my brain malfunction. She was chewing a gum so well that her bright pink lips looked so madly inviting. She used her hand to brush her hair backwards and that made my lips tremble.

Scott kicked me under the table. "You're drooling, dude."

I blinked hard and nodded. "She's worth the drool." I was about to look at her when Michael said something that pissed me off.

"Baby."

I mean, what was his problem? Who was his baby? I kicked him under the table but he didn't even seem to notice as he just smiled at her foolishly.

I looked away from him, my eyes finding her eyes. She walked towards me and sat beside me. That made me feel on the top of the world. The lady everyone in the room obviously admired chose to sit beside me! I had to bite my lips to stop myself from smiling.

"Mike."

I turned to look at her, trying to keep myself under check. I avoided her eyes as good as possible too.
"Elf."

She chuckled. "I hate you, you know?"

I tried not to look disturbed. "I dislike you."
