After he shut his door on me, I felt my cheeks get heated up. Not because I was angry but...but...because I was blushing!

I shook my head numerous times. What was happening to me? Obviously, Mike will always be Mike. His corny speech, that, I was used to, but, sorry, this time, he sounded pretty serious. I chuckled dryly and shook my head again. Nah, I was imagining things. I had to be.

I fell to my knees and put my hand on my forehead. He'd called me Gold.

Gold.

I closed my eyes and tried to put everything in order. Why would he call me that? Just then, something popped into my mind. He was probably very much in love with the real Gold and so, he'd started seeing things. I nodded. That was the only thing that could have happened.

I stood up and dragged myself to my room. As I walked, I felt jealousy rise within me. How beautiful was that Gold? Why would he call another person her name? Why was--

"Are you planning on staying by the door forever?"

I jumped and turned to look at Sharon. "You weren't in the room? Where did you go, huh?"

She shrugged. "I went to see...huh...I mean I ran into Collins. So, we kinda talked."

All the thoughts about Mike disappeared immediately. I winked at her and held her arm. "Someone is falling hard."

She frowned and shrugged my hand off. "Look, I don't like Collins, okay? So, stop it."

I wriggled my eyebrows at her. "Liar. I can see love in your eyes. Don't worry, when you guys start dating, I'll be the happiest."

She blushed, but being her stubborn self, she used her hair to cover it. "No, Felicity. Now, tell me, how did it go with Mike?"

I sighed and told her everything, omitting the part where he said he liked my hair and how I blush. She nodded. "Good. I'll talk to him tomorrow. Let's get in bed now."

I smiled at her. "What did you talk about with Collins?"

She blushed again and shook her head to quickly. "Nothing."

I scoffed. "You can't be telling me that, can you?"

She looked away. "Casual talk."

"And I want to know what that casual talk entails. Spill now!"

I eyed Sharon at breakfast the next day. She didn't tell me anything about Collins long talk with her. Well, I had my ways of finding out. Silly girl. The only thing I noticed was that she smiled more around him and blushed more, even. Now, what does that mean?

Mike. Yeah, let's talk about him. Actually, the moment he stepped into the room, I felt this wave flow through me. I don't know what that is, anyway. The moment he sat down, he stared at me so intently as if he was searching for something in my eyes. I just looked away quickly. Remember, his blue eyes are kind of electric.

Well, I have not seen Michael yet and one part of me really doesn't care. The other part cares as a friend should.

"City, we have to leave in two hours", Thomas whispered to me. I smiled at him and mouthed okay.

Moments later, Michael came in. I dropped my head to avoid having eye contact with him. Suddenly, I felt lips at the back of my neck. I raised my head and turned to look at him.

"Hello, sunshine."

Humph.

"Michael." I managed a smile for him. "How are you?"

"I'm good. You?"

"I'm fine."

He chuckled softly. "Good." He leaned towards me and kissed my forehead. I winced. Didn't this guy know that I didn't appreciate public show of affection?

He kissed my nose and cheeks before standing straight. "Let's talk after breakfast."

I nodded and sat properly in my seat. I sighed. I hated this. Scott nudged me gently and slowly, I turned to look at him. He winked. "So, you're all lovey dovey--"

I pinched him and that stopped him from talking. Lovey dovey my foot.

I looked up and saw Mike looking into my eyes again. I felt the tips of my fingers go numb. Electricity zipped in the pit of my stomach and I felt my legs tremble. He looked away and shrugged.

Wait, why did he do that?

Collins said something, but I couldn't hear him. My focus was entirely on Mike. Everyone bent his head to pray, but I couldn't tear my gaze off him.

They began to eat and I still couldn't. Thomas nudged me, but...I couldn't. Oh God.

Mike looked at me again. Then, suddenly, a smile curved his lips. I frowned. He motioned for me to eat and I think that did it. I looked down at my food, lifted my fork and started eating.

Wierd.

Was he using super powers to control me?

******
After breakfast, Michael took me to his room. Well, I followed.

Once he closed the door, he turned to look at me, this time, his face devoid of the smiles he'd been wearing. "Baby, I don't feel any spark between us. I know I promised not to complain, but, this is not fair."

I had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from screaming at him in anger.

"See, you need to talk now." He moved closer to me and looked into my eyes. "Let's face facts here. Since we started to date again, we haven't really--"

"Look, Michael, shut up. I made it clear since the outset of this that I wasn't interested. You kept on forcing me, you know. If you look well, you'll know that I'm still not interes--"

"Shut up, okay?" he yelled. "You're really cruel. What did I ever do to you? I know, it's Mike, right. You like him, don't you?"

I blinked. Did I like Mike? "No, I don't."

"What does he have that I don't?" he asked as if he didn't just hear me speak. "What? Answer me!"

"I don't like Mike. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a ball to prepare for."

"Ball?"

I mentally slapped myself. What did I just say? "Never mind." I walked past him and once I got to the door, I turned back to see him glaring at me. "I'll be ready for a break up whenever you are. Heck, I'm ready now."

I didn't wait to see his reaction before I left, slamming the door behind me.
