I changed into something comfortable and walked out of my room to meet Thomas. He was standing by the stairs leading to the men's wing and talking to Mike. I rolled my eyes when he looked up at me.

Nonsense guy.

"I'm ready, Tom."

He nodded. "Yeah. Give me a minute , please." He turned to face Mike who was staring at us with a funny look. "Mike, I'll try to adjust the beats. So, I--"

"Where are you two going?" Mike asked, cutting Thomas mid sentence. His voice sounded emotionless and distant.

Thomas blinked. I shrugged. I couldn't say anything because I wasn't sure if the ball was something confidential that Thomas wanted to keep.

"Didn't you hear me?" Mike asked, his eyes on me. Wait, why was he giving me that scary look?

"Huh...I...we...um."

I sighed at Thomas stuttering. "We need to get some stuff."

"Stuff like?"

Wait, why was he suddenly not minding his business anymore? "And that, silly, is where you mind your business. Thomas, are we staying or leaving?"

Thomas swallowed and nodded. However, as I began to walk away, Mike grasped my hand and pulled me back to his front. I kind of lost my balance and would have fallen if he hadn't grabbed me immediately.

Now, imagine the stance I am in now. His hand around my waist, my face inches from his and my small hands on his chest. I felt my heart beat increase immediately. Again, those eyes.

"Where. are. you. two. going?"

His firm voice kind of brought me back to my senses. I pulled away from him and just to annoy him, I dusted my body and wiped my face. "Oh God, I got your stinky saliva on my face!"

I think that worked because his face turned pale immediately. Thomas held my hand and tugged me closer to him. "Mike's not in a too good mood now. No one knows why, but he's been acting really weird. It would be good if you apologized now", he whispered into my ear.

I scoffed. "I don't care. Now, let's leave."

Thomas sighed. When he saw that I wasn't going to budge, he nodded and pulled me along with him. I expected Mike to pull me back again, but he never did. I felt satisfaction fill me and so, I walked away proudly.

When we got to the garage, Thomas began to laugh. I raised an eyebrow. What was going on with him?

"You're awesome, city. You reduced him to his size."

I found myself chuckling. "Yeah, he's a big pain in the butt, but, hey, did you just call me city?"

He smiled. "Yeah. I think I like that."

I shrugged. "Well, it doesn't matter anymore. At first, when I got here, I used to be so concerned about all those names, but now, I really don't care again. Mike calls me elf and Izzy. Micheal calls me...well, I'd rather not say that. Call me anything."

Thomas laughed and opened the door for me. "Get in, milady."

I punched him gently in his shoulder and smiled. "What a gentleman."

So, we got back around six o'clock at night. I think we spent about two hours shopping and the rest time we used for riding around town, eating and laughing.

I got a very beautiful floor length black gown. It was strapless and was made of satin. The black gown had glitters that made it really beautiful. Well, it's gorgeous, in overall.
