Michael laughed dryly. I didn't miss the way his face turned red with anger. "Makes no difference, Scott. It's great I have some competition."

I cleared my throat, causing both of them to stare at me. "Sorry, guys. You are getting me confused. This is my first day here and honestly, if anyone had told me this morning that I would be here, I would have laughed it off." I paused, waiting for that to stick to their heads. "So, how you two managed to fall for me," I blushed as I continued. I couldn't believe I was saying that. "--I honestly have no idea. I hope we get together as colleagues."

Michael opened his mouth to talk but I silenced him by raising my finger. "I hope you aren't about to talk about your feelings?"

"See you tomorrow", he said and walked away. He began to talk angrily to someone on his phone and that made me feel for him. He had work to do. I noticed Scott still standing beside me and motioned to the main door with my eyes.

"Felicity, you--"

"Leave, please. See, Michael left."

He laughed and patted my shoulder. "Did you really think I was serious about what I just said? I have a girlfriend, lady."

I blinked hard at him, not knowing what to say.

He winked at me knowingly. "I'm taken, dear. Her name is Elsa. You'll meet her soon. She sticks to me like glue."

I shook my head angrily. "Listen, you don't just talk anyhow like that. I almost believed you." With that, I stormed off. I walked inside and saw Mike smiling widely at a lady. His hands were around her waist. Wonderful!

I walked towards them and cleared my throat. "Hello."

Mike glared at me before looking back at the girl, kissing her forehead. Then, he went to her nose, then her cheeks, then, he lingered around her lips as if waiting for something. Disgusted, I gave him a hard knock on his head. The girl in front of him who obviously had no shame ran her hands through his hair. Then in a voice that really irritated me, she said, "Mike darling, are you okay?"

He nodded and pulled away from the girl, turning to look at me face to face. "What is your problem? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"Mike, who is she?" the lady asked, feigning an annoyed look. She folded her arms across her chest that revealed everything that could make a man sin.

"Nobody of consequence. She's just a crazy little elf that thinks she can sing."

I rolled my eyes in disgust. "I'm Felicity."

She gave me a look that said "I don't give a damn" before answering. "Why did you interrupt us?"

God, if not for the fact that I was new here and didn't want to cause trouble, I would have lashed this girl with words. The people I hated most were those that didn't know their place. "This is no place for you two to be--"

"Shut the hell up, elf. If you annoy me and say one more word, I'll make sure I terminate your appointment here. You can have my word about that. Now, disappear from my sight."

I looked away, embarrassment decorating my face. After giving them both a final glare, I walked away. The last thing I wanted was to get sacked. My parents would seriously mock me.

That night, I learned the song I planned out for the concert. I added more lyrics to make it longer. Usually, Sharon usually helped me with that but, right now, I wasn't even sure if we were talking or not. When it was about midnight, my stomach began to rumble. I had barely eaten during lunch.

Slowly, I made my way out of my room. I honestly didn't know where the fridge was. At least I could make myself something to eat. I found my way out of my wing and climbed a staircase. That led to the men's wing and I knew that if I wasn't careful enough, I would find myself in deep trouble.
