When I was done cleaning up in the bathroom, I went back to Yael. He was standing outside the bathroom.

   "Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, just the usual, Fiona". Yael nodded then remembered something.

"Here's what I tried to give you before you got all...wet". He handed me a red decorated shoe box with a bow on top.

"Ha ha". I said talking the box and opening it.

Inside were pictures of us kids to now glued onto the walls. I smile at the picture of 9 year old me with a surprised face while 9 year old Yael poured a bucket of water on me.

"Awww". I said showing Yael the picture. He blushed.

I dug deeper into the box and found a pacifier. This was Yael's, he'd bring this to Elementary School everyday and get teased for it. A memory clicked.

"This is our time capsule!" I said. Yael smile.

"Yep, I dug it up and improved it and now it's in your hands... keep looking".  He said.

I dug deeper and found plane tickets.

   "What!" I was completely shocked.

"These are tickets to New York, it took my college money to get those-

" Well I'm not taking them, you need this money".

"Look, I'm not going to college if your not, I'm not leaving you here, instead, you and me are gonna be the first people to get out this town".

I hugged Yael and he hugged me back. I pulled away. "Now I gotta get you a gift!"

"I had something else in mind".

A slow dance song started playing. Everyone paired up with partners and started slow dancing leaving me and Yael the only ones not paired up.

Is this what Yael meant. He wanted to slow dance with me!?! Yael wasn't in the friendzone or anything I was just surprised. Yael noticed the expression on my face. He looked incredibly nervous and his face was plum red. He didn't ask to dance or anything. Maybe this was a mistake? He probably didn't mean for the music. We stared at each other in silence. God this was awkward.

Tyreese saved the day as he approached me. I hope he didn't want to dance because that'd be really awkward too.

"Um...Leola...can you walk with me for a sec?" He asked sizing up Yael.

"We were talking".  Yael said softly. Tyreese didn't hear him. Tyreese put his arm over my shoulders and tried to lead me back outside.

Yael  flicked Tyreese's arm off my shoulder.

"I said, we were talking".  Yael said with a edge. Tyreese scowled at him. Yael always told me he didn't like Tyreese.

Sensing the tension between them I budded in.

"We can all walk and talk, right?"  I asked trying to stop them from doing something stupid.

Tyreese pulled his deadly stare away from Yael. "Yeah, sure". He muttered dryly.

He led me to the door and Yael tagged along.

The music stopped and our principal started talking on this mike.

"For now on, nobody can go outside, stay inside at all times".

"Why?" Asked a student. The principal didn't answer. The music cut back on and people started dancing again.

"Well, can't go outside, guess we'll have to say in".

"Pfft, naw, lets go before a teacher blocks the exit". We quickly yet casually excited the door. No teachers saw us.

Tyreese led us to the woods were I recently partied. It was dark and nobody was partying anymore.

"Where are you guys going?"  Asked a voice.

We all turned to see Dennis Hoble behind us. He was dressed in a red T-Shirt and ragged jeans. He was a skinny freckled red headed boy who is totally obsessed with zombies. He's bullied allot for it, that and he's a complete mama's boy. His mom is working at the picture booth and he was working as a valet here.

"Sheesh Dennis, you scared the crap out of me!" Yael said.

"Why are you guys here, you heard the announcement". Then why dafuq are you here?

"If you don't snitch, we'll let you come with us!" Tyreese offered.

"Well golly...ok!" We continued our walk.

"Yael, did you get the new edition of the most awesome comic ever!?!" Dennis asked.

Dennis has made himself believe Yael was his bestfriend (which seriously pisses me off) only because they had one conversation about zombies. Yael thinks he is seriously annoying.

"Umm no Dennis...I only read novels". Yael said. Yael says he is really annoyed of Dennis but he doesn't want to be rude to him, neither do I.

Dennis blocked Yael's face with a Walking Dead comic.

"See see, Rick almost dies!" He said jumping up and down. Yael crashes into a tree and falls onto his butt. I snickered. "Oh shut up". He muttered.

   "Guys!" Yelled Tyreese.

"Oh, sorry". Dennis said.

"No not you", Tyreese said sounding annoyed by Dennis too.

Tyler, Rick and Fiona came from their hiding places. Fiona had a look of disgust on her face.

"Why do you keep inviting losers?" Fiona said harshly. Tyreese shot her a look and she shut up.

"So...did you bring me here so she can throw more beer?" I muttered.

"No, so she can apologize". Tyreese said. I didn't mean for anyone to hear that.

Fiona swallowed her pride and walked over to me.

"I'm sorry for throwing beer in your face". "I guess I was just mad when you...pushed me that day at the maket". "I'm also sorry I was a jerk to you this whole school year". "Are we cool?"

She gave that apology no effort, thought, and no meaning. The whole thing was fake. I figured Tyreese made her do this and I shouldn't push my luck by asking for a better apology.

"Yeah, we're cool". Tyler and Rick started clapping in attempt of trying to be funny. It quickly died when nobody clapped with them. Now it was a awkward silence.

The entire woods was quiet. Even the crickets stopped making noise.  The only noise I heard was a slight moan.

Nobody around was making the noise. It was coming from up ahead.

"Do you guys hear that?" I asked.

"I do". Tyreese said.

"It sounds like sex". Rick snickered. Tyler laughed along with him. I believe they ate some of those stickers.

"I'm gonna check it out". I declared.

"No Leola, that's how they get killed in the comics!" Dennis said eagerly pointing at his comic book.

"Well then I'll go with her". Tyreese said.

   "No, I'll go". Yael said.

"No offense but you're too lanky you could protect her from whatever huge thing is out there". " You stay with them because those two are high on acid, she might wander off and him...

Tyreese's voice trailed off as he looked at Dennis. "Well ya know".

That was the first mean thing I've ever seen Tyreese do. Before I could protest and call Yael over (because I'd rather walk with him) Tyreese had me under his arm and walking toward the sound of the moaning.
