"So...why did Crash stay behind?" Yael asked putting pressure on my back.
We were pulled over on the side of the rode outside of Fort Pierce because Ozzie had to pee. While we waited, Yael offered to fix my back with Physical therapy in the backseat. I lied down on my stomach while Yael was on his knees infront of me.
"He thought he could save the house". I answered. Yael grunted. "He said come back to the course when we get our heads checked". I added.
"It was dumb of him to think he could take on all those zombies", Yael said. "I don't think he made it".
"You don't know that". "Even tho it seems like a really long shot, he could've made it, you gotta have some faith in him".
"Ok, I guess your right". Yael agreed. I felt his hands move up my spine and press down.
"Ow!"
"Sorry...oh I see the problem". He put more pressure on my shoulder blade kinda moving it.
"Sorry that we can't wait for your parents anymore". Yael said. I didn't know what to say about that, I didn't like being reminded.
Yael sensed my silence and changed the subject.
"You might have a bad case of scoliosis". He joked as he rubbed my spine.
I scoffed. "Well then its a good thing that you're a doctor".
"I wouldn't call myself a doctor".
"What are you talking about?" I said looking up at him. "You know your body stuff, you patched my arm up really well". "Your like, awesome at medical and strategy stuff and I mean it". "If it weren't for you, we'd probably be in Palm Bay still in that mansion". Yael tried to hide his blushing." Your dad taught you well".
"Yeah..."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-
"No, it's ok...anyway, where are we headed?"
"Tyreese and Alex were headed to a town called Yonker". "They said it was safe and small, we could regroup with them".
" Yonker?" "Oh I've heard of that place, its right next to Sebring". "Tyreese and Alex left a few hours ago, they won't be far ahead of us". "We could catch up to them by dark".
Yael's hands moved down my back. I have to admit, his hands were really...soft.
"Ok this might hurt...allot...but only for a second". He grabbed my waist. "I need you turn your torso to the right while I hold down your waist".
It sounded painful but I did it anyway. There was a cracking sound. I screamed at the pain but it was over quickly.
"Do you feel better?" He asked.
I sat up and pulled my shirt back down over my back.
"Actually...I do, thanks Dr. Yael". I said happily shaking his hand. Yael laughed and shook my hand.
"Just don't go throwing your back into stuff".
"Aw really, but I was really looking forward to falling onto another golf cart". Yael laughed at my remark.
It was another awkward silence. We just stared at each other not knowing what else to say or do. It seemed as if our entire surrounding got quiet waiting for us to do something.
"I'm back!" Ozzie said running out of the bushes. Yael quickly got off his knees and dusted himself off. He was acting nervous.
"We should head to Yonker now". He said getting in his seat. I got up from the backseat and sat in shotgun.
